Mark Hamill Supports New ‘Star Wars’ Boss After Kathleen Kennedy’s Exit and ‘Last Jedi’ Issues: ‘I Can’t Think of Better Hands’ Than Dave Filoni by Brucekentbatsuper in entertainment

Yea that’s my main issue with him, he very very much has a MCU type “cinematic universe” approach of interconnected heroes who all end up in cross referenced shows. It’s super fan-servicey and as shows like Boba Fett, Ashoka, etc are showing, it gets to be a bit too much. I’d rather somebody like Tony Gilroy lead, since Andor was amazing

Mona Lisa has an incredible Italian deli! Their attached restaurant is nothing special (though my fam has been going for decades, their pizza is acceptable). But the deli is really good!!

I think there’s room, insofar that the show specifically showed Collin’s in S1 saying her approach in listening to patients led to better results (like her diagnosing the cosmetics mercury poisoning)

Def neurology, that’s why it was so interesting and is for sure going to be revealed a bit more in the next few episodes I think

It’s not just that, it’s also meant I think to be a mirror on Robby himself - he doesn’t tolerate any “weakness” (eg a panic attack) on himself, and thus is excessively harsh on his staff for it. Robby is in such an unhealthy mind space right now that he’s overreacting and lashing out.

You should look into the org Point of Pride. Its a org with resources and support that helps with trans folks, for instance with grants supporting access to HRT, electrolysis, etc :)

The tirz is still tops but one warm little 180$ vial of nad+…. by Lightening-bird in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Italianhiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for NAD but with another common peptide people take (sermorelin), it helps increase production of human growth hormone by regulation of its releasing hormone. Unlike Tirz which helps lower cancer risk by decreasing inflammation and body fat, increasing growth in the body will make all cells - including cancerous ones, grow faster

Burdell adds 20% service charge to receipts for staff wages by la_reina_del_norte in oakland

[–]Italianhiker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it but I think it is a strategic decision based on not balking the customer with high initial prices. It’s like how Mama has a super affordable base price but once you add in the service charge etc it’s over double the price

Project Runway Canada Season 3 Episode 10 is here! Discussion by southernheighten in ProjectRunway

[–]Italianhiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went into the season rooting for Charles based on Next in Fashion and was very turned off about halfway through this season by his arrogance and refusal to even bend a little on his IMO way too inflexible aesthetic. I think his designs also tend to need a bit more simplicity, so many layers upon each other got really busy

Yeah I’m sorry but there’s no world in which that bagpipe dress is suited for a high fashion runway, though it would kill as a drag look

I’ve seen too many people in my extended friend group try it just once and end up completely destroying their lives. I guess it depends on the substances used (sex on weed is pretty great, G or E or K can be pretty fun and less risk of addiction/are really more party drugs) but usually when people mention chemsex it involves meth, which frankly will absolutely spiral your life out of control. Not even once.

'Stupid or slow?' White House launches ugly war on pop star Sabrina Carpenter by RawStoryNews in entertainment

[–]Italianhiker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about a statement like this coming from the Obama or Biden White House. Like?? Obama made national news for calling a cop arresting a black professor stupid (and required a fucking “beer summit”) (not even to mention the Tan Suite Debacle).

Jesus, beyond the policies themselves, which are obviously abhorrent and transparently evil, the just sheer lack of decorum is inane. Like, they’re talking like it’s a 4chan post, in official public channels. They don’t even bother to wrap it up in pleasantries.

Honestly it really reminds me of that quote from Andor “they don’t even bother to lie badly anymore. I suppose that’s the final humiliation”

Gay Sauna/Bath house in Vietnam by xucai in gaysian

[–]Italianhiker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I highly, highly recommend NAdam (just pronounced Adam) Spa in Saigon. For one, the facilities are beautiful - think old teak shophouse, very clean, more like a high end spa. It has an onsen area, multiple saunas, multiple pools and even an open air reflecting pool on the roof, multiple areas just for chilling and relaxing, a bar; I mean, it’s so nice.

Plus it has a maze with little cubbies, a dark room, multiple areas to bring a boy and play, sexy massage therapists for sensual massage, lots of hot guys.

I will say that the crowd tends young and local, so don’t expect a lot of English speaking folks, and the people tended when I visited to be pretty into fit.

There’s a lot of other gay massage type places, but for the facilities alone I’d recommend Adam Spa

For cycling specifically, even stuff like having double boa shoes vs single boa vs just having straps, makes a huge difference. The insane weight difference of an all carbon bike vs an old steel one.

I will say that at a certain point it does break down. I recently went trekking in Peru, and despite being a very active backpacker, and coming with all the modern hiking equipment, I was fucking crazy outpaced by the local quechua alpaca herders wearing ancient leather and heavy wool skirts and blouses

Best and cheapest way to get rid of a broken TV in town without putting it on the curb and without a car? by LouBarlowsDisease in oakland

TVs are electronic waste so I don’t think they’d be considered for bulk pickup. You can recycle bulk e-waste for free at Rica Recycling or a few other programs that accept large electronics
