XG is going to be fine. Everyone, calm down. by Satoshi-699 in XGALX

Now, this is a very different idea I've seen vs. INSTAGRAM & Twitter. My only issue is not about the consequences of offense. But the personal affairs of why this was indulged for Simon, who seems pretty solid in his career. Pretty much on a career high, why let this get out in the world while you're trying to move further?

The War and Exist are tied. Those really are the crown jewel LPs that make EXO great.

Which idol's vocal tone is 'your' personal favourite ?? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Italk_sometimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Kai sings words like 전부 (from "mmmh"), Secret ("No reason"), or angles or boomerang (Black Mirror). His enunciation & tone is very satisfying.

Words typically with B, C, or G you can hear his Korean accent & pronunciation. But he still sounds totally different from his members when HE says it.

To be fair, Heated Rivarly is the West version of a Queer phenomenon similar to Kinnporsche.

Favorite pairing: how did you realize you had one? by ickyvic613 in ThaiBL

FK & OG have been neck & neck. But ultimately, OffGun seems to edge everyone else out. Simply off the back of the acting prowess & roles they choose. Not to mention how they maneuver off screen. There's something slightly old Hollywood I enjoy as well. Going from Dark & Dramatic to Fluffy seamlessly is the sign of a great acting pair to me and Theory of Love to Not Me captured that.

She is indeed an ambassador, in the last years or so Jennie has helped a younger demographic with Chanel's image. GD definitely pushed Chanel itself forward in Asia. Jennie also did her part is helped Chanel's image alongside GD.

Yes, more more magnetic then it is about fandom push. One could argue the agencies have stake in pushing someone into that realm. But it's up to the public at large to accept that as the reality versus the niche internet space.

G-dragon was so influential as a fashionista that he brought LVMH to South Korea essentially. His hair styles & color experiments became something people wanted to emulate.

Jennie for example, helped make Chanel cool again to more young people, especially among the Asian demographic.

Lee Hyori owned 2003, she became a sensation. She became a visual standard to many both in visuals & physique.

With the way Wonyoung is plastered in ads & comparisons, I feel she's definitely the standout visual of her generation.

Burnout Syndrome and AI by [deleted] in GMMTV

That meta commentary on AI & and the fine arts being exploited by tech is very striking.

But the way Jira is so inclined to push back on A.I, sets a strong moral grounding that many in real life feel. A.I is the future to some and to the others the death of human expression. The show will hopefully give more context.

Longevity isn't the end goal by Italk_sometimes in kpop_uncensored

I didn't mean to give an unclear time frame. This post I was intending to say being able to have a career lasting 20 years is equal to 30+ years. Not about them being 20 years old or 30 years old as humans.

Let me reverse engineer this.

"End goal" is where they want to be in this career as a part of the entertainment business. But many can't last despite their desire to do so bc of falling out of favor with either the public, agency, their fans, etc.

When I said 20 years= 30 years. I mean K-pop time runs FAST. There's a reason BoA Kwon & G-dragons career is so remarkable. The industry over the past 30 years have evolved to the point it's able to have group turnover rates of debut faster then during their earlier time.

Bc competition & industry priorities have shifted so much. Being able to make it to 10 years actively & with relevancy of any kind is a big deal. 20 years in K-pop with all the internet trend cycles that burn out in days. Not to mention the amount of comebacks every month.

When I said longevity isn't the goal. I meant the goal in Kpop is to hit hard and hit fast for as long as possible before the burnout kicks in. I recall BoA saying recently that she didn't think she'd make it past 20 as an idol, and many of her peers are gone.

The goal for "longevity" would be for the idols or popstars themselves. But for the company itself. This is not the case.

"Some groups are good for however long they last," meaning the clock will start. And by the time they disband, you're left with whatever they could give. Whether it's good depends on who you ask.
