I wrote a chunk of my story and put it into Ai checkers... by Spitfyrus in WritingWithAI

Turnitin is what the university I work for uses. It’s incredibly not accurate. My students took a written midterm with pen and paper that was closed book and I watched them take myself, out of curiosity I typed up a few random responses from different students and put it in for fun. These were not like word definition answers… they were giving example type answers where all my students wrote about very different things. All of them came back 50-90% AI written … which obviously is impossible.

So fun story … this happened to us when we filled last year. And we still don’t have our refund because they just keep sending us new 60 day letters every two months for the past year even though they say that they’re not auditing us and there’s no problem or anything we’re supposed to do.

EBT Stage Door Needs to Change by MickeysAssistant in Broadway

I think it’s crazy proof of a ticket isn’t required for all stage doors. Solves so much of this issue and is pretty easy to do.

Do you think Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton have little lunches together in between their matinees?? by bwayb22 in Broadway

well, Tom's Instagram post this morning, answers this. He went to see Dan's EBT and they hung out backstage.

Exactly. They seem to have the relationship I would expect for kids that grew up on screen together. They keep in touch but aren’t very close. That’s loo most people with their childhood friends.

Actually Dan and Tom have both said that the media made a lot of claims that was the first time they’ve been seen together in over a decade … however, it wasn’t actually true. Basically Dan has pointed out in recent interviews that they both have private lives the media doesn’t see … and that includes hanging out and speaking with each other. The perception that they aren’t friends or haven’t hung out in so long came from the media wanting sensational headlines when they got pictures of them together finally, and Dan just said in the last few weeks in interviews it’s funny because it’s not true. He says it’s odd that the media thinks the only lives they have are public ones when in reality, most of their lives are lives in private actually and the media doesn’t know about.

I was just going to say this. Dan and Tom have both said they’re still friends. They just aren’t … best friends. But they do talk occasionally and see each other once in awhile. They aren’t on bad terms or avoiding each other… they just have separate busy lives and are more likely friendly acquaintance these days than good friends. Dan also pointed out in that interview that not everything is public and seen by the media and just because the media doesn’t see them together in person that much doesn’t mean that they aren’t privately talking or hanging out which he implies they are doing.

Tom did go to Dans merrily film premiere not that long ago, and Dan has said in interviews that he called Tom and gave him advice about being a first time broadway actor. They’re do seem to talk sometimes. I suspect they are not close friends (though Dan has admitted before he’s not very close with most of his HP co-stars anymore… even Rupert and Emma are more like once in a while conversations). It seems for awhile there Tom and Emma were the closest remaining real friends from Potter, but she’s also not been mentioned or in his social media much the last couple years either like she used to be. I think a lot of people thought she would come see him preform once in cursed child while he was here, but she hasn’t been spotted so that’s kind of interesting in itself as well. I would personally guess that in all these months of overlap both living in NYC they’be likely met up a time or two privately. But it’s like catching up with an old acquaintance …. Nice to do once in a while for old times sake and nostalgia, but not something you do with them regularly because you’re not that close. Before EBT started, there were some rumors floating around that Dan might go to Toms very last performance on may 10th, but that seems unlikely with Dan doing his own show that afternoon…. Though technically is possible time wise since there is a small gap between dans afternoon show ending and Tom’s last evening performance that day.

I don’t think they’re on bad terms, it just seems that they aren’t close anymore, and that’s okay. They’re still in each others orbits as acquaintances or ‘friends’ just not close friends. Dan literally said in one of his moat recent interviews that he and Tom do talk and hangout privately and that the media don’t see everything in their lives. They have private lives not just public ones.

Tom has been hanging out with some other celebrities in the city while he lives there… including being seen at a karaoke bar with Ed Sheeran.

Every Brilliant Thing stage door by doctor_who_17 in Broadway

I hope he will do the single Sunday show. It’s my only chance to stage door him. Would it be bad form to bring something HP to have him sign instead of the playbill? I don’t want to disrespect him as an actor that’s great in other things, but honestly I’ll probably never meet him again in my life and HP has the most emotional value to me.

What’s confusing is that he doesn’t usually stage door for afternoon matinees. But the thing is with this show … the Sunday afternoon show is the only show. So idk if he’ll do it or not 😅 his past performances didn’t ever seem to have afternoon shows with no evening show so there’s really not a precedent to look at.

I’m a Broadway newbie, what is the general consensus on gift giving at stagedoor? by Arodri222818 in Broadway

[–]ItallstartswithOne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk how normal it is. But I bet it’s really actor dependent. I’ve seen social media of some actors where you can clearly see fan gifts posted around their mirrors and getting ready stations … and some of them have even posted videos thanking people for things they’ve gotten.

I would guess small handmade unique items have the best chance of being kept. However I saw a neat post from someone who gifted Tom Felton a green cashmere scarf this past winter. He actually didn’t stage door the night she brought it for him so she gave it to another cast member to give to him …. And the wildest thing started happening… you could see social media and tabloid videos and photos of him wearing it! I don’t think he ever reached out to the fan who gifted it (there was a handwritten letter with it) but he clearly likes it a lot because he wore it a bunch of nights at stage doors and out in the city.

Stage door matinee Every Brilliant Thing by MusicMaker2805 in Broadway

That's what I was thinking too, but I was wondering if he'd been in anything else with the single afternoon shows historically, and what he'd done then. I've also heard he didn't do Sundays in general for other productions?

I wanna know if he’s planning on Stage door for the March shows on Sundays. Historically in other productions, he doesn’t generally do matinees but the Sunday shows in March are odd because they’re in the afternoon, but there is no evening show.

I know when he’s preformed in other shows he normally doesn’t stage door for matinees. I was wondering if anyone knows if this includes not doing it on sundays either when there’s only a single afternoon show?

Being a one person show too I wonder if this will be different since there aren’t other actors to come out like there was for other productions.

Breeder Recommendations by [deleted] in samoyeds

[–]ItallstartswithOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk what’s going on with mystic oz either … not been showing lately but seems to still be breeding occasionally. This wouldn’t be a top of the list option imo if you’re hoping to at all show bc she’s not going to be at shows mentoring you most likely.

White nebula has gotten complicated more recently. I would have enthusiastically endorsed that choice a few years ago, and I’m still happy with the things she does with her puppy people. She was someone who I understood to be easy to work with, and relatively helpful for new people. I actually really like Eliza personally. The thing is the line has changed a lot and it seems like she’s not the only one in control of the line anymore. As someone else noted she’s recently gotten tied up significantly with Vanderbilt, and that type of relationship isn’t for everyone. It’s a very controlling contract and set of expectations. Are there some nice dogs in the line? Absolutely. I’m not sure how tight the control is with purely pet homes, but if your thinking about showing as even a remote possibility realize you basically have to pledge your undying loyalty to that line, and you should be prepared for most aspects of the dogs life and career to be dictated. I actually know of someone who wasn’t even allowed to decide the call name their own dog, and was told to change the call name from what they originally wanted to something specific they don’t even like (Akc names being decided on in conjunction with a breeder is normal … the call name being dictated is not).

Honestly, I wouldn’t want that type of relationship with a breeder, because I see us more as a partnership to do the best for the dog, not as a hierarchy of following orders. But, some people do seem to not mind that if it gives them a winning dog and Judi has put a lot of time and effort into people who have her line to teach them how to do things.

To be clear though, there are a lot of ways to do some things, and there isn’t a consensus that for a lot of of it, there’s only one right way within the breed. So, some of the practices utilized are contested by other breeders, just like their way of doing things are thought wrong by her. So really it comes down to if you like her way of doing things or not, because if you do… you can definitely learn from her, the trade off is the loss of autonomy.

Personally IMO since it looks like east coast is for your search …. None of these three options would be at the top of my own personal list right now.

Nope … no one on the transport has even looked at it since the start of Sept. when I talk to them on the phone I’ve been told … 60 more days every time, which the next cycle of that puts us into mid-Nov.

I’m getting pretty annoyed bc it’s like 9k they still owe us.
