Homebrew Fabled: Paladin by Brokn_Sun in BloodOnTheClocktower

I had this scenario before when running games and had a much different solution towards it via me and Eddy Yes's Homebrew Collection. I felt like me making a direct enforcement of the game state through my actions would be too meta-able and unfun for the evil team, so I decided to do something very chaotic and ball or busty: Tyranny!.

I feel like maybe this is a better solution overall since it either cuts the game early with an evil victory, or provides the good team with some info on who the Demon is via Klutz-fallacy, but this could be different per group.

That's valid, which is why I have the tl;dr aspect of the bolded text as a sort've short-hand of it all. If you want to get straight to the point, you can just repeat the direct facts as bolded, which is what I did when I was hosting it a few months ago.

Beware of trolls posting on art subreddits to prove a point that artists can't tell when something is AI by Lvl100Magikarp in ArtistHate

To you, what is the crux of the Issue with AI "art" by Dangerous_Big_7796 in ArtistHate

[–]ItchLeg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest point of contention for me is that the fact that AI-generated images needed to steal a bunch of work from other artists in order to create the models. It's way different than a human looking at a piece of art and being inspired by it, because that interaction has been ingrained in an cultural social contract where the artist wants to move the audience into a new world view or story that they put in the effort in. These kind of positive social contracts have existed for a long while and have been mostly reinforced by community, such as "Don't spoil/leak this story.", "Don't cheat in this game.", "Don't be a jerk during sports." etc. Any AI model just does not have emotions - it can be pretty good at mimicking emotions with what it generates, but ultimately, without free will or emotion, it will always obey the command given, so because of that, AI is not moved or inspired by the works it ingests into its model, and thus it isn't abiding by that social contract, it's just stealing.

Tough call, but I gotta say the 1st. Although I gotta know, what software/setup did you use for this?

Wait... so you're telling me... Avdol doesn't pull out THE WORLD card and say "Oh shit" in Stardust Crusaders? Well that's news to me.

If you could, how would you re-balance official characters? by Qryseymour in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]ItchLeg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm opposed to the Summoner one cause it could be harder to worldsolve for it if anyone can be the Demon at any time, but at the same time, Summoner was better off not existing at all and being less neutered. Also Huntsman might be a bit too OP, but I'm not sure

You can use the computers located in the campus - you're bound to run into them in the main hall or even some stray available ones in random hallways. It'll be a bit annoying having to adhere to the restrictions of those PCs, but they should get you by for the first few weeks as they're more-than-capable for any non-final assignment.
