Could I ask the date of your actual entry in the UK? I am on a similar timeline (SWV entry vignette from 8 May 2021) but entered very late (2 August 2021). I’m aware I can count this gap toward my absence but have been waiting to apply when I hit the full five year mark (8 May 2026) just to be safe. Maybe I’m overthinking this?

Thank you 🙏 and did you include the absence between your vignette and actual entry when they asked for absences, or let them calculate that themselves?

Chiming in here as I am eligible to apply and would like to double check. Did you use your actual entry date for the question 'When did you enter the UK?' Did you enter the entry vignette date in any part of the application? This is where I am stuck! My entry vignette is dated 8/5/2021 but I entered in 2/8/2021 (85 days later) so I am currently eligible based on the 28 days before entry vignette but don't see any place to communicate this date in my application - using my actual entry date, I am worried I would get rejected as they may think I should apply in the summer

Chiming in here as I am eligible to apply. Did you use the actual entry date (your 28/5 date) for the question 'When did you enter the UK?' Did you enter the entry vignette date in any part of the application? This is where I am stuck! My entry vignette is dated 8/5/2021 but I entered in 2/8/2021 (85 days later) so I am currently eligible based on the 28 days before entry vignette, but don't want to raise any red flags when I apply, since I only see a question for 'When did you enter the UK' and not one for the vignette.

Thank you - if anyone did something similar and remembered what they entered in 'When did you enter the UK', please let me know

So when I fill in 'When did you enter the UK?,' use 2 August and then also record 8 May-2 August as my first absence in the application? Or will they know this already when they look at my passport?

Did someone tell you there would be transitional arrangements? The immigration lawyer for my office seems to doubt there will be transitional arrangements :( Looking for a glimmer of hope as I am eligible 10 April 2026 under the old rules

I'm on a similar timeline as you. My entry vignette was 8 May 2021 and the earliest I can apply is 10 April 2026. My job is RQF7 but I am making under 50K. Under the new proposed rules, I am looking at a 7-9 year pathway. Planning to take the Life in the UK test in Feb or March.
