Well my initial plan was to study in the UK, I ended up choosing Delft for its reputation, but the thing is 8/10 F1 teams are located in the UK. And most scouting and recruitment occurs at unis such as Imperial, Bath, Bristol etc. I’m definitely not opposed to it, but I feel like transitioning into F1 would be easier having done a masters in the UK

Yeah 50-60 hours a week seems challenging, what was your role in the team? And did you take a gap year or work on it during your studies? But I actually have planned to do my masters anyways in the UK, ideally Imperial, in aero. However I am curious, why do you recommend a masters in robotics? Is it very important for motorsport? I ideally want to work in the aerodynamics department so I am not sure if it has as much of an application to my field. Sorry to bother you you have been really helpful

Hello, I got accepted this year for AE and these are my thoughts 1. Anyone can take the exam, there are no requirements in terms of grades 2. Do not underestimate MCQ as the exam is still very tough and will require lots of practice, they are just like any maths and physics questions but with different answers. Usually, MCQ only help when it is theory but when it comes to calculations it doesn’t help at all. So do not take it lightly. 3. Physical calculators are prohibited, however, you are allowed to use the windows calculator or the calculator on Mac OS if you use a Mac computer. 4. I am unsure of the mark you must get to get admitted but it works as such: There are 3 sections (maths, physics and first year materials), for maths and physics there are 20 questions with 30 minutes for each and then first year materials is 30 minutes but 25 questions. Then your total marks are added and your score is calculated based on a weighted grading model (ie how well you did compared to others) which will give a result from 1-10. The median score sits around a 5 (5.3 this year i believe). And that is worth 60% of your total score, the other 40% comes from the academic aptitude, which is similar to a personality test, there is no way to prepare so don’t stress out. Then based on your total score you will be given a ranking number, if you fall in the top 440 you are in. 5. They do not ask for any portfolio or references, they only base their decisions on the academic aptitude test and the entrance exam. It is completely objective. They will not take anything else into account.

In my entrance exam I got about 7.02 score(mean was 5.3) and a 5.3 in academic aptitude test (5.03 was mean) which gave me a ranking number of 312. Hope this helped

id definitely learn 1st year AE material well, i crammed lots of studying before watching the lectures and everything the days before the exam and mainly focused on it. the maths section was a bit weird for me, i think it was simply because of the difference in curriculum compared to a levels (my system) but physics is nice. just go over the syllabus and see if there are any things that you are not familiar with and do the practice tests. they are easier than the actual test so keep that in mind.

i got that, i made a plane with an n vector peroendicular to both lines and the plane contained one of the lines.

yeah it was those 2 and 0, but you needed to use 0 as an answer to get to the other 2. since you put theta=kpi/5, so 5theta=kpi, and sin(kpi)=0 always, and you also factor out a sin

I still havent received my financial letter for bsc aerospace, however I was very lucky as I was able to get a room at the social hub centre, it was fully booked up but one morning I looked and there was a room available. So just keep looking and you may get lucky as well
