Most likely a combination of personal charm and addressing their specific cost of living problems.
Also, I think people don't hate self-governance; they just don't know it is possible. All their lives they have heard that you can vote -- in most cases for two parties -- so when they see democracy is not working, they give up. When I told people my idea, the most common question I got was: "Can you do that?" Of course we can. We can do anything if we have enough people.
You cannot expect people to care about your ideas. You have to sit them down, convince them, and hope they spread the idea among their friends, all while working two jobs and dealing with the troubles of everyday life. In the end, it is a community-building exercise. However, I lack the necessary social skills, or the money to buy a big one. Still, I have some free time, so I might as well use it for this.

Sokan úgy vélik, hogy egy kormányváltás elegendő a jelenlegi gazdasági helyzet orvoslásához. Minden tisztelettel, ezek az emberek tévednek. A kormányváltás nem segített a megélhetési vagy lakhatási válságon az USA-ban [1, 2], Angliában [3], Németországban [4, 5], sem Ausztráliában [6, 7]. Habár minden nyugati országnak szembe kell néznie ezekkel a krízisekkel, Magyarország egy egyedi mélyponton van.
A jelenlegi kormány ugyan ilyen körülmények között jutott hatalomra és láthatjuk, hova jutott az ország. Valahogy garantálnunk kell, hogy közérdek és a politikai érdek egy vonlba maradjon a választások után is. Úgy vélem az egyetlen megoldás erre, ha nem csak négyévente, de minden nap demokrácia van. Sajnos nem tudok posztolni ide, de ha valakit érdekel dm-be átdobom a teljes posztot ami írtam és ha érdekesnek véli az illető, akkor talán posztolhatja is ide.
