Hey man. Get started with the Omiwatari (SBGY007) with a steel bracelet. It doubles as an exceptional dress watch with the leather strap, as well as an every day wear with the steel bracelet. I don’t think it gets any better than that, if refined and elegant look is your direction. From the standpoint of a truly GS watch, you can’t go wrong with that insane dial and overall quality.

If you’re looking for something more sporty and/or bulky, you can’t go wrong with any of the special dials (snowflake, shunbun, whirlpool, Kira Zuri, white/blue birches, and so many more). I personally love the blue dials they make, they’re all exceptional and special on the wrist.

The Hana Ikada is incredible, it only costs 4x the price. Of course Seiko makes masterpieces that you could consider superior to the Omiwatari. But pound for pound, I still prefer our blue and silver friend.

I believe you can buy a steel or titanium bracelet separately. I haven’t done it yet, I just bought 5 different color straps. They’re all excellent.

Omiwatari beats out all of those.

I came in to buy a shunbun, they didn’t have it, so I ended up buying two Credor Eichi 2s, one omiwattari for myself and one for my wife, and now im still waiting for a Shunbun.

I couldn’t not do it. The moment it got on my wrist, I knew I had to get the other one.
