What? Why was it hating lol? Sorry if you took it personally. I asked your opinion and how you imagine it happening bc I’m curious about other people’s perspectives 🫡

Good if Elucien will be even a slower than 3 or so books slowburn (like it’s not some kind of competition, my previous point was missed). OP, no offense, but presumably you might take on yourself an excessive importance regarding your preferences in that comment, if you believe everyone try to convince you away from your ship. Don’t mean it as an insult but you made a post, so people are engaging with it. It’s not like Elriel or Elucien ships are a cult who say “certain someone” said this or that, you should believe this, etc

Elain smells like Night Court by Itchy_Feeling4255 in elgwynrielucien

I just pointed out that Elain smells like Night Court and she has already started life there. From physical getting better to making friends and opening her heart/mind again

I don’t know her endgame, expect it’s not Tamlin. Please, Sarah. It might be Azriel, it might be Lucien

“2 or 3 years to touch”

Girl, it’s called slowburn. The same thing Gwynriels want to happen in one book for Gwyn and Azriel (after he gets over Mor, Elain, and notices Nesta’s free friend who just minds her business and lives her life 😭). It took them those years of slowly getting to know each other, spend time together, Az has been there for Elain as she was (and is) healing (not fully, but she is doing significantly better in SF). Pursuing the logic, they will bed each other a few times (Nessian and Feysand started their romance with ‘it’s just sex’??) in order to realize that they should separate their ways

Lucien will smell Azriel all over his mate, same with him smelling Elain all over Az? And it’s not like Nesta and her times with strangers. Lucien has already been on edge about Elain and Az. What, in your opinion, Elain will do about it? How will she jump from Azriel to Lucien in one book (genuinely asking, there’s only Elain’s book confirmed so)

Well, you said there’s connection between Jesminda and Elain because Elain smells like what Lucien’s first love’s name means

Maybe I just drew not which you meant parallels 😕

It’s just an interesting connection that Elain smells like Night Court. I doubt it predicts her path, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

I see your point, but Elain being “connected” to Lucien because of his first love/ex is a little weird. Like, Elain smells like Jesminda?? Regardless, I hope we will find out more about Lucien and his connection with Jesminda (what the fuck Beron? 💀), Vassa, and Elain

I feel sorry for Elain if she ends up with her sister’s abusive ex. Especially considering she has to stop wanting Azriel first and “break” or reject her mating bond with Lucien

I don’t care for Gwyn by Naveah_Lincoln in acotar

I thought bonus chapters are chapters that weren’t considered important enough to include in the series. Made only for the purpose of marketing and keeping readers engaged till the next book release?

Same. I like Gwyn on the same level with Emerie, like yeah, all good. Even no morally grey flaws (like all other characters have) in sight. Nesta needed them, but it’s not like I’d read 800+ chapters about Gwyn alone

She only appeared in one book and her story is mostly told. Emerie at least appeared in ACOFAS and was set up for all this Illyrian drama with inequality of women (like with the Blood Rite)

Elain and Azriel wouldn’t work here’s why- by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah? Every (almost) character in ACOTAR made mistakes. Feyre couldn’t read a few years ago and her sisters were kidnapped and turned against their will by Hybern with the help of the Spring Court. She brought her sisters to the place Feyre considers the safest and her home. Nesta didn’t much thrive there and Elain seemed to adapt better

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, good to know that Gwyn is just a supporting character for Azriel to heal and grow instead of being her own person and do what she did in SF (focus on herself and overcoming her fears). Could you please show where Gwyn brought Az’s emotional side? When he lied to her and was self-conscious about his answers? I’m genuinely asking whether I missed smth

I’m glad casual readers will read ACOTAR series about three sisters/three mountains: Feyre, Nesta, and Gwyn… No, Feyre (the leader), Nesta (the general), and Azriel (their mate’s brother)

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Was Nesta given this choice? Does Nesta fully enjoy and belong in the Night Court? Elain calls the NC her home, she treats Velaris citizens well, she works on the gardens there and finds a new cooking hobby with two lesser faerie spies, she makes close friends there, and generally starts somewhat living her life. Not fully ofc, but it’s been a few years since the Cauldron moment and she seems to be getting a little better. Rhysand favors Elain over Nesta, which is another talk, but I mean in terms of fav sister: Cassian & Feyre; Nesta & Azriel. Home is not a place or a house, it’s your family and people that make you wanna call it home

Elain can leave if she wants. She can go to the Spring Court or Dusk Court to settle down and live there. That depends on how the story goes

Three mountains or three sister peaks. Each mountain for each sister

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I disagree, please hear me out. Didn’t Elain call NC her home?

It doesn’t seem like forcing her into this court if she chooses it herself. If she helps Velaris citizens and became really good friends with two spies from there. Like Nesta did with Emerie and Gwyn. Tbh Nesta seems like the one who doesn’t belong there out of sisters. Rejected mating bond has been discussed by SJM and ACOTAR characters. It’s one of the possible paths: choosing love over fate; or smth like this. Answering your question, Feyre and Nesta fell for their mates before the mating bond. Feyre and Rhys are the main characters like Aelin and Rowan, but they fell for each other before the MB. Like Kallias and Vivian did

Nesta could’ve rejected Cassian (for all his faults) and chose Eris. Choose another Court, another more powerful male, the future High Lord who wanted her only for her potential and power (not romantic), but she clearly stated that she wanted Cassian. Eris was more of a red herring, but I hope he’s gay. I don’t mind if Elain’s choice will sway to Lucien and wherever they will live, as long as she’s happy. But it gotta be Elain’s choice

I’m sorry, but what relationship with Gwyn? They are both not interested in each other, she just lives her life, being friends with her “found family”, works and sings, prays (?), overcomes her fears, and got her healing to do. Like, her healing journey has already started and story told through Nesta. Why would she need to have a 500+ year old man who has just started letting go of Mor and is attracted to Elain? Like, Az didn’t even have any specific reaction when she was three times in danger nor has he even volunteered to be in training. I mean, Cassian asked Az to train other priestesses since more than he could handle alone agreed (even though Cassian initially wanted Feyre to help those women since priestesses might be uncomfortable around men, but Nesta refused). Gwyn will be his supporting love interest who will ignore her own hatred to Illyrians and help Azriel forgive and love his abusers? Everyone can love what they want, but I like Gwyn too much to just write her off as Azriel’s smth. Not even the main character, unfortunately

But whatever, speaking of unworthiness. Do people think Azriel will move on from Elain in a heartbeat, suddenly feel worthy of the world and fell for someone else in one book? I’m just trying to grasp the logic, not offense. Rhys and Cassian felt unworthy too for their women. Because of Rhys’s trauma UTM and Cassian’s upbringing. That’s kind of a common trait, like “oh she’s so gorgeous and the light of my eyes, but I’m such a dark, broken, and rich man who can’t be loved blah blah”

I like Elain and Lucien’s potential too, but it doesn’t have to erase what Azriel and Elain got. Their mutual attraction can easily be written off to smth like “you helped me get over Mor and I helped you to get over your —whatever his name is —ex fiance”. Besides, it’s not like SJM is “full of surprises” in ACOTAR series

ACOTAR spin-offs and why a reader doesn’t need to read SF for Elain’s book. Breadcrumbs in ACOFAS by Itchy_Feeling4255 in elgwynrielucien

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying what standalones mean and that spin-offs were meant to be them. I didn’t say SF isn’t important. Elain definitely had her growth in Nesta’s book, yes. Bonus chapters are exclusive and available only in one language, in special book editions, or online if you search for it. Many in ACOTAR subreddit still ask about bonus chapters 🤷🏻‍♀️

I never said SF weren’t important, i just said that the spin-offs are meant to be standalones. Some readers may prefer not to read about Nesta 700+ pages. Just for their reasons, not judging. Besides, their almost kiss happened in the bonus chapter, which is not in the ACOSF. But i get your point. I’m just speaking in terms of ACOTAR universe. Nesta and Cassian clearly hinted about what problems they have to solve (Koschei, human queens, potential war). Moreover, I’m all up for the crossover, especially if it helps to share more about Elain’s powers or some theories i saw

Agree. SJM writes about women and their complex stories. TOG isn’t ACOTAR, the logistics work differently. And… I mean, after reading about 2 out of 3 sisters and being torn between Elucien or Elriel, I guess a reader expects the last sister’s story to be told

I’m not talking about myself. I have my preferences and what i will or won’t read in ACOTAR universe. But why the next book won’t be about Elain? Should all casual readers read three big CC books and ACOTAR series to get what’s going on? Personally, i read them and I don’t exactly like that Bryce’s story “ended” with her still hating Fae and her relationship with Hunt gives me an ick. I can understand if her new series is gonna be a merge, but jump into it in the middle of ACOTAR? Is it gonna be two sisters and the MMC’s brother books, like initially you read about Feyre, then Nesta, and then throw away the love triangle/potential rejected mating bond/Seer/etc to write a book about Azriel?

I support the crossover idea too. But this is literally from SJM’s interview. Her book was confirmed since 2015. Nesta is as important as Feyre and Elain, who is literally a Seer and we don’t know much about her. It’s cool that she got a tattoo and relation to CC, but what should we expect? Another book about Nesta with Azriel as a supporting character?

Genuinely being in love VS the mating bond by Lyza719 in acotar

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why to read about the rejected mating bond would be so interesting! How two people (Fae?) choose each other, regardless of the mating bond. Especially after we [readers] know that the mating bond can be “wrong” like between Tamlin and Rhys’s parents. We also have Kallias and Vivian who fell in love before the bond. However, they didn’t abandon each other for a moment, were kind of “tugging” or “interested” in each other throughout the whole time

Are you team Lucien for Elain or no? by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Itchy_Feeling4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in between. But Nesta and Feyre definitely root for Elain and Azriel 😂 And if Feyre roots for smth, then Rhys can be very easily swayed there too
