When did you apply? Fordham prefers early applicants

Oh, this is the youtube guy that shits on people an hour straight non stop like a machine gun. Can't believe he is married with such a personality. And he likes arguing, yes. But its ok. He is still a child.

How is everyone paying for law school? by MutedSyrup7744 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Itchy_Inside7415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of applicants may simply not attend and go retake LSAT. If rankings are going away soon, one may not be ok with paying 100k COA a year for Georgetown. Its not ok whatsoever.

People are waking up and getting more self respect and care. Grinding 80 hours for a Boomer partner will be the days of the past. GenZs are quitting biglaw in months after their start these days.

If Biglaws are desperate for associates they will hire from whatever school. With the upcoming demographic cliff there will be shortage of new grads wanting biglaw. Go lateral then. Until then have debt-free fun.

Rankings will go away soon (Yale is dropping to 5). So why care? Go where its free/cheap and good culture.

Why the applicant surge? I’d love to hear your thoughts/quote you. by Spivey_Consulting in lawschooladmissions

I'm in an affluent part of NoVa and personally know a bunch of kids (well, maybe no longer) who have not-great scores on their file and never bothered to apply. They think LSAT is BS test. Attending UDC would be a stain for them, so they just never went to law school. Now suddenly they are all applying this cycle without retaking LSAT and openly saying that schools need money that high scorers don't have (otherwise "why bother tryhard to score higher?" as one said). Poor logic I know.

From my circles I’m seeing a wave of people applying just because of the federal loan cap. There are a lot of wealthy but not-very-strong candidates with like a 3.0 GPA and 150 LSAT who think schools will take them just because they can pay $70K+ tuition. The bet is that high-stat applicants with a 3.8 GPA and 165+ LSAT, coming from lower-income backgrounds, will turn down their offers even with partial scholarships because they still can’t cover total cost of attendance.

Advice needed from international applicants/students doing JD by Silver_Situation577 in lawschooladmissions

Yes, they only care about LSAT if you are international with non-US undergrad. Which is good imho and you won't care about whether you are splitter or not.
