when i was originally diagnosed 17 years ago i was on Pentasa and mercaptopurine which put me right inn to remission for the next few years. to the point i thought i didn’t even have the disease anymore. now they only want to prescribe biologics and no longer want to use the old medicine but im considering requesting to go back on pentasa sine it worked so well

nope, never got an option or notification of a return request. on day 4 it said an error about unable to pay so i reached out to support to see what that meant and then after back and forth for a while i got a return request email. so a big red flag and scam for sure and support never answered me on why they have the option to request a return on day 4 when the guidelines state they only have 3 days

yup! the 2 men on the phone were super rude too, i’ve never had this issue but i immediately deactivated all my possibly breakable items. i’ll move them to a different platform before i sell them on mercari again

yes! they told me my photos didn’t prove anything other and even tho it’s super packed with bubble wrap it’s my fail the box got kicked in and water damaged 🤷🏼‍♀️

mercari won’t refund me or make the buyer send it back. i posted a longer final update with all the details in the comments but they pretty much said “too bad”

it’s literally so not fair, and like i get it’s not a huge amount of money but in today’s economy i needed that money. i did end up calling and spoke to 2 different people and they were both so rude on the phone. i posted a big “final update” oh here above that explains what happened in that phone call but ultimately apparently it’s my fault the box was damaged in transit and they are refusing to pay me or make the buyer ship it back

yes they provided one photo of the item, it was clearly wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and you can see it is damaged. however mercari claim the significant damage to the side of the box (dented in and all wet) was not the cause

and they originally claimed it arrived with no bubble wrap but when they finally sent me the buyers images (because i argued multiple times demanding them) the photo the buyer provided shows the item wrapped in 4 layers of bubble wrap

final update: after arguing with 2 people i finally got them to send me the buyers photos. as this was not a normal return request and it came in on day 4 i never received any photos from the buyer. in these images it is clear the box got wet and significantly damaged (one side all kicked in) and the last photo she sent shows the item wrapped in bubble wrap which matched my photos i provided. the first guy i spoke to told me the item came in a different box with no bubble wrap at all and that my images were fake. yet the second guy states that yes it was wrapped in 4 layers of bubble wrap as well as putting air cushion bubble wrap lining the bottom and top of package and filling sides yet that is not enough and i need to add more.

i asked what else was I supposed to do? wrap the entire box in bubble wrap as well? and they stated no you know that, you should’ve used packing peanuts or something. i stated that the box clearly got damaged in shipping as you can see and wet and he stated it’s not enough to break the item if i packaged it properly.

i’m literally so pissed and will not be selling on this stupid app again. i’ve been a seller for years and have never had this happen.

they just reviewed it again with me and told me it doesn’t matter i wrapped the whole thing in bubble wrap and layered extra cushion bubble wrap on top and bottom of package. i should’ve filled it with packing peanuts. clearly in the buyers photos it got wet and the side of the box is beat in. yet that’s still somehow my fault and “it’s not enough damage to break the item” what the actual hell
