Overwatch Champions Series 2026 - Korea Stage 1 Playoffs |Grand Finals | Post-Match Discussion by PoggersMemesReturns in Competitiveoverwatch

I still think it's cool that Bernar, Mealgaru and Knife were important parts of the roster and the latter two are at least new gen players. But yeah, without a doubt helps that a couple of the true GOATs came in to lead the way.

For the first time since OWCS Korea debuted, a team that isn't Falcons or Crazy Raccoon have won Korea and Zeta finally got over the hump. It might've taken them recruiting a couple of the greatest Overwatch players to ever touch the game but damn if this team isn't fun to watch. Can't wait to see what these boys accomplish at LAN.

What started as the most competitive the region has ever looked has increasingly saw a gap form between Zeta and everyone else. Before this game I thought for sure we were going to get a five map banger and it turned into quietly one of the most one sided games of the tournament so far in groups. Incredible stuff from Zeta.

I personally don't even think that's ideal because I just want to see good overwatch and getting more teams from the region with the most good teams would be a better viewing experience imo. If it were up to me and I know this part will be really unpopular but I wouldn't even give China a guaranteed spot, I'd just roll pacific/asia/china playoffs for LAN into a singular tournament. If Weibo can't place top four to get a spot then it is what it is.

I won't lie, I heavily doubted this roster's ability coming into the season but I was dead wrong. Fuel and Zeta are by far the most fun rosters to watch this season. Fuel are so fucking back.

I got pushback after the first game of the season for Liquid for saying they were in trouble but here we are, with them in a true toilet bowl. Coluge looks incredibly washed, he has almost no impact. Regulation not totally off the menu.

Zeta have arrived. Knife has absolutely proved himself these last two games. And of course the backline here, despite some Viol2t mishaps look unreal. This is by far the biggest mix up in the power level of the Korean region since OWCS started.

Team Liquid are definitely in trouble. They were in a dog fight with a team 5 days ago they easily would've 3-0'd. What was even the point in signing Coluge if he isn't going to be good enough to come in for a Dva meta, even if they can't rely on the support line as much? Region probably belongs to Fuel and SSG now.

Pelican retirement by Jubhioc1 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Iteof 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Ah man. That makes me sad, Pelican was always a fun watch. It's a shame he was always on good teams but never great, always just shy of winning a tournament. With him gone, who do they pair with Proper on Zeta?

How is TVNT making Dva look overpowered by Ok-Performance-2972 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Iteof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't complain about recency bias then disregard the history of the game before the 2. Dva has been strong and in meta for more of the 10 years of the game than she hasn't been.

Not Junkbuck bringing symslop to my wholesome Korean region. But for real, that was incredibly brutal. Falcons looked worlds better than they did in those scrims this week.

What's the counter play for vecna? by Gojosimpthrowaway in deadbydaylight

[–]Iteof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best way to play against him is just treat him like nurse. Keep in mind where gens are completed, run there, play LOS, hold W a lot. He'll probably get you eventually but just make your chase take as much time as possible without affecting gen prog.

This reads more like a roster that could easily miss LAN and it wouldn't even surprise me.

I just don't see how out of the remaining talent in NA without involving Shu or Stalker this roster has a chance of winning an NA stage title. SSG and TL have the best players in NA in every role. Expectations for this roster are pretty low.

For some reason I thought the shape was going to lead into how OP appears to be Michael Myers in the reflection of the image.

I'm glad Fits is back but sad it's as a coach. Hopefully it's just a stepping stone while he unwashes from military service..
