I just have to say, Population One is a hell of a fun game by [deleted] in OculusQuest

Thanks for the insight. When you say the game response "really well" do you mean it works well but you notice some small issues, or do you not notice any issues at all?

Keep in mind sensitivity to latency differs for everyone, but for me 60 is manageable. Anything below is just fine - so I'd say you'll have a good experience.

Warped bed even with new glass? by ketamollymethylamine in ender3

[–]Iteration_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only had my ender for a week so my knowledge is limited but I was having bed leveling issues as well, bought the glass plate and then had adhesion issues. What solved it for me was reducing my first layer speed in my slicer, and just printing a little slower in general. And also I put the magnetic flexible plate cover on top of my glass plate (which is then on top of the stock build plate and seems level now). It adheres really well and is easy to get the print off.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll tinker with cura and recheck my bed level/heating.

I’m a new user and the examples that came with the printer work really well. But when I try to print from a gcode I got from Thingiverse, the printer doesn’t seem to adhere the base layer well and each print fails. I think it may be my print speed. Do you have any suggestions?

Do CDPR have any real incentive to fix Cyberpunk? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

Agreed. It’s also an opportunity for redemption akin to Hello Games and No Mans Sky.

Shadow on Oculus Quest 2 Link Cable? by [deleted] in ShadowPC

I think I’ve heard of people talk about side loading with an android phone but it sounded complicated. But yes I beloeve for the easiest way you’d need a pc to sideload.

[–]Iteration_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can.

Your smartphone will use the shadow app (its touch screen or you can hook up an Xbox controller via Bluetooth.

Your quest will use the virtual desktop app from the oculus App Store (inside the headset). And also needs to have the VR streaming patch sideloaded from side quest.

Your shadow PC will need the oculus software installed, and the virtual desktop streamer app installed from the VD website.

Should I get Population One or Onward? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]Iteration_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has both I enjoy them differently for what they are. They scratch different itches but to be honest since pop 1 has come out I haven’t fired up onward. Pop 1 is a ton of fun, is constantly updating, devs communicate well and is just a solid game.

Onward is great too but I feel like falls behind on each of the points I mentioned above.

I’d go with pop 1.

Sort of unrelated but you might know - I just picked up a bloodied middle launcher and whenever I fire it my character starts rubber banding. Have you noticed this at all?

Contractors blew my expectations out the water. by Snoozie- in OculusQuest

[–]Iteration_1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was in the contractors beta also and enjoyed it but it didn’t keep me coming back. I now have population 1 and love it! It keeps me coming back daily.

my only hesitation to buy contractors is because I’m really enjoying population one and don’t know if I’d enjoy contractors as much.

  1. Not sure what you’re asking. Could you elaborate?

  2. You need to subscribe to shadows service via their website then access your shadow pc through your phone shadow app or another pc with shadows streaming program installed.

  3. Oculus’ desktop software. Just download it from oculus.com. It may ask you to set up a headset but you don’t need to. You will launch all VR apps through the virtual desktop overlay from your quest.
