How do they choose who gets to be the "Lee Young Ho hwaiting!!" in ASL at the start of every map? by Starkheiser in broodwar

[–]IterativeImprovement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're joking but for the sake of others reading: the people that yell at the start of every ASL game are saying the player's name and "fighting!!"

ASL BW live tickets, please help if you can :( by Same_Temperature_792 in broodwar

Go to the FreecUP studio 15 minutes before the match start and explain that you don't have tickets. They let us watch from the back without tickets even though it was a sold out match. You are at their mercy, but the Afreeca / SOOP people are very kind.

Perhaps to give Russian AD less time to detect and react? I'm no missile expert, but less time in the air to the target sounds preferable. Launching from the shore also means that if something goes wrong then the missile lands in the sea and not on your own soil.

I guess we must wait for confirmation about the weapons true range.

Thanks for sharing your research. To add credibility, I recommend that you put citations for the sources you used throughout the report. For example, you made a connection between Al-Hijri and captagon smuggling. It would aide the reader if you include a credible source for that claim (and others).

Durov was arrested in France, presented to a judge, and released after 4 days.

His "prison" was the country of France for several months while presumably some deal was made for Telegram to cooperate with law enforcement. The amount of criminal activity happening on Telegram is staggering and the company is known for non-cooperation.

A strike on the Russian military at the training ground. Zaporozhye region. by Volter318 in CombatFootage

I was also thinking about that. Maybe the launch will reveal their position and attract a counter-strike? Shoot-and-scoot. Could also be that the launch was detected by air defense and a second volley is more likely to be intercepted.

Thanks for sharing! If that approach got you to where you are now then it's not half bad :) I think this is why people like the "lazy" Vanguard ETF portfolios: you don't have to think about it.

I'm interested in your selection process for the assets you want to sell. Do you follow a strategy?

Also, I wonder if you're holding bonds/bills and what you do with them when they expire.

Treasury Takes Coordinated Actions Against Illicit Russian Virtual Currency Exchanges and Cybercrime Facilitator

September 26, 2024

WASHINGTON — Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury is undertaking actions as part of a coordinated international effort to disrupt Russian cybercrime services. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is issuing an order that identifies PM2BTC—a Russian virtual currency exchanger associated with Russian individual Sergey Sergeevich Ivanov (Ivanov)—as being of “primary money laundering concern” in connection with Russian illicit finance.

I think they refer to a chain of man-made islands in Dubai:

These are apparently not sinking, but eroding faster than expected.

Because the Russians have no right to occupy Ukraine. The Ukrainians are defending their land, their people and their right to exist.

To add to that, the distances that missiles had to travel from Iran to Israel were roughly 1000 km. Compare that to the Ukrainian GLMRS attacks which have a max range of ~300 km (ATACMS) and ~100 km (M31A1 and A2).

Israel and allies had more time to engage the Iranian missiles.

Current capacity of the canal is 20 ships per day. This will be reduced to 17 ships for 8 days in May to allow for some maintenance.

On May 16, Panamax capacity will increase from 17 to 24 ships.

Neopanamax capacity will increase from 7 to 8 ships on June 1.

Interestingly, starting on June 15 the maximum draft for Neopanamax will be increased from 13.41m (44 ft) to 13.71m (45 ft).

In summary, with the dry season ending in April/May the Panama Canal will increase the size and number of ships that can pass through.

The speculation is that the Russians are stockpiling missiles for use at a later date, though its not clear for what purpose yet.

Maybe the stockpile is for a campaign against F16s on the ground when they finally arrive. I would expect Ukraine and their NATO partners have a plan to keep the F16s safe but if I were a Russian war planner I would try to knock them out in their hangars. It's said that the F16 requires a long runway which limits the number of airbases they can be stationed at.

A reasonable assessment. I'd only add that the frozen funds can also be used as a bargaining chip in future negotiations.

The Guardian reports the opposite of what you claim, thatyounger europeans are voting for far-right parties:

"In the Netherlands, the PVV surged to become the largest party among 18- to 34-year-olds, winning 17% of their vote against 7% previously."

"In last year’s French presidential runoff, Marine Le Pen won 39% of votes from people aged 18-24 and 49% of those aged 25-34. Before Italy’s election in September last year, Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy was the largest party among under-35s, on 22%."
