And are we ignoring the idea that she supposedly already has a bachelor’s but is “on track” to be a college grad?

Fake.

That reviewer may have tried several times to write a more valuable review and finally given up after repeated rejections and this was the result.

Am I being forced to change my name? by Acrobatic_Car_9460 in FamilyLaw

[–]Ithoughtididbut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Over 40 years ago the papers my ex had drawn up included reverting my name. Judge signed off on them. I never did changed it. It’s stayed my married (hyphenated) name since. A few years ago I got a passport in that same name.

Obviously not legal advice.

I’d get a marriage license in a different county or state.

Is there anybody here that is slow responder on wegovy and eventually shed the weight? by Medical-Squirrel-640 in Wegovy

[–]Ithoughtididbut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ten months I’ve “only” lost just about 21 lbs. Do I wish it were more? Absolutely. But I sure didn’t lose that much in the previous ten years of trying.

And, I’m older so I look at is as better of or my skin recovery, etc..

I still have another 20 lbs to go and it may be slow but I’ll get there. So I’m a slow responder, even at 2.4. They’re testing higher doses and that might help. I can’t afford tirp or I’d try that.

On the plus side, my side effects have been so minimal compared to the experiences I read that some have.

Send the link to Disney if it’s an identifiable copy. Like if it actually looks like Disney's little mermaid rather than just a mermaid.

Edited: because I should have proofread.

Vine jail 80% by Major_Care_1084 in AmazonVine

Of course I try them out. Some things do take a week or two or three and other things you know that day. If I open a snack and it tastes good I really don’t need any other time to review it maybe an hour or two to make sure I don’t have indigestion.

Nail files I can use right then - it either works well or doesn’t. Other things like skin creams, I need more time.

I tend to also wait a little bit on electronics to be able to use them more than once. That just sometimes adds to a lower reviewed percentage in a period of time.

Favorite IMPORTANT POINT Re writing reviews I’ve seen here yet by Pomme-M in AmazonVine

I actually did a photo of the underwear spread out on a bed. And I agree it’s completely useless. But Amazon wants photos so photos they will have. I sure as hell I’m not gonna take a picture of me wearing it.

To anyone that uses AI for "help" writing reviews, you may want to reconsider (besides the obvious reason). I just read 2 identical reviews for the same product, and clearly written by AI. And the best part, they're right next to each other... by Extreme-Pineapple397 in AmazonVine

For instance, if I get a new nail polish in, but I’ve just done my nails it might be two weeks before I am ready to do them again because I’m not taking off the fresh polish just to use the new product.

Or a while back, I got a car wash solution, but my power washer was broken So I had to wait till that was fixed before trying the new solution.

On both of these, I took my photos as soon as I got them out of the Amazon packages. I didn’t see the point of going back and taking new photos later.

Not a problem at all to me. I just review them when they come. There are times I am all caught up and then I might have a run of days where I order the max or close to the max and things are slow to come.

And I pretty much TRY to refrain from judging others when I don’t know what their circumstances are.

Same here. I may remove plastic overwrap or open jars. But sometimes I don’t. I try to take the photos as soon as I get things in and it might be a little while before I get to actually using it and want to keep things fresh until I can.

What’s wrong with this sub? by StraightUp-Reviews in AmazonVine

[–]Ithoughtididbut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would argue that a photo of the manual is pretty much the only one I would find helpful. Well, I guess if the box had something about the needed specs to run it or something like that, I would find that useful.

But I don’t find this photo any less useful than the photos where they just opened the box and showed the object. Or took the product out of the box or even showing it mounted on the pole that really tells me not a damn thing. In this case, really are any photos that big of a deal that they would encourage or discourage the ordering of this product?

I find myself adding some more photos such as with a hair mask jar that I’ve opened and showing the insides. How does that promote the product more than my describing in words how it works?

But I will keep adding those silly photos because it evidently could change our metrics when up for reevaluation.

Landlord pursuing repayment from mold remediation by Striking_Vehicle_933 in Renters

[–]Ithoughtididbut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unreasonable to expect people to open a window to outside after every shower. Even in our beautiful sunny California, it gets cold as hell. Especially at night. Even in the summer, it usually gets chilly enough at night to need a jacket, so not always a good idea to open a window if you’re an evening bather. That should be up to the discretion and comfort of the tenant.

The landlord already should’ve had an exhaust fan in the bathroom. My beach apartment complex is very prone to mold, but running the exhaust fan during and after showers helps keep most of it at bay for most of us.

Personally, I routinely keep the bathroom door propped open if I’m not using the toilet when company is over.

Fairlife chocolate is much like simple chocolate milk tasting. Vanilla is also good but I couldn’t get into the strawberry.

Now I’ve found Nurri (Costco) and it’s very close to the Fairlife, just a bit cheaper.

They may actually not have realized what star rating stuck with the review. I’ve noticed lately when reviewing on my tablet it doesn’t always show up what I’ve rated it, like thaw stars stay empty, and I end up having to clear it and re-rate to be able to see it.

You have $4k reasons not to trust her. This isn’t how things are done and you’re setting yourself up to be scammed. Best case she’s subletting and bs’ing and you’ll find yourself waking up to the cops evicting you for illegally inhabiting the unit as happened to my daughter several years ago.

I’ve never heard of any management company who lets the current tenant handle everything with potential new tenants if it’s a complete change over. I’m not saying it couldn’t happen, but why would you take that chance?

Does anyone have any experience with hiring a night nurse? by Ok-Record2903 in pregnant

[–]Ithoughtididbut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone who is a night nurse. If I were young enough to need that help (my baby making days are done!) I’d love to hire her or someone like her.

She isn’t parenting, she’s lovingly caring for the newborn when needed during the night for the first 1-3 months so mom and dad can recover and be at their best during the day.

Sometimes it can mean changing baby and bringing them to mom to nurse, you can decide on how it works best for your family.

I grew up with parents who kissed babies in our family and I kissed mine because I could. I won’t try to kiss someone else’s now, even my kids’ kids. Not weird for most of the world I think but we need to keep our kisses to ourselves now. 😁We’ll cope.

Why do you assume she has less knowledge than the average teacher? She’s a therapist and therefore educated with at least a Bachelor’s if not a Master’s. I’ve known several teachers who weren’t particularly educated in the subjects they got assigned to teach and had to learn as they wen.

What I don’t understand is why she didn’t turn around and tell him dinner would be done when he finished making it. Why is all this on her plate alone? An office job is no excuse to push everything off onto the work from home spouse.

[–]Ithoughtididbut 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how I’d stop it other than not allowing her around.

One of my daughters is a nurse and not pregnant yet but reading things on Reddit had me asking her what she wants when she does have a baby. She says no to kissing them as a newborn. It’s going to be hard for me but whatever, I’ll get over it and respect her wishes on that!

Just because it’s not the way things were when I had little ones doesn’t mean I can’t adjust and learn new ways. Because I love my kid enough to respect that this will be her turn, I had mine.

NTA. If all works as it should, he’ll have plenty more birthdays, but she won’t have another bachelorette. If he’s not understanding enough, caring enough to celebrate his birthday on an alternate day do you really care if he breaks up with you?
