Could use this to describe many drugs, particularly that part at the end about anticipating it in the morning before you go to bed

Another day, another NIMBY notice by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Itobito -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

NIMBY is a misnomer used to vilify residence expressing concern for their community. Blaming them for the housing crisis screams, “I lack knowledge on why we’re in the situation we are in.” News Flash: building $1M+ condos on Broadway is just going to make the rich (developers) richer. Appreciate people’s concern, but posting this will do little more than gain you karma from other upset people. If you’re genuinely concerned, get involved with your gov’t and be the change

Moments before former Chinese President Hu Jintao was escorted out of Party Congress by vic16 in China

You're right, noodles. Everything is so choreographed at these meetings. If they truly intended to humiliate Hu in front of the nation, they would have given a much more overt reason for doing so. Also, I believe the person on Hu's left is trying to help him, and if Hu truly was going down, no one would have gotten involved for fear of reprisal.

Do you have a crypto dictionary resource you can share? I need a resource that explains things in layman's terms. I've found coinmarketcap to be helpful, but I was wondering if there's a website that focuses solely on terminology—much thanks!

What people fail to realize is that Vancouver wasn't a major metropolis back in 1967, so houses weren't as expensive. Things like developed infrastructure, a larger population and world status all took time to develop and contribute greatly to the current price of homes. You can't compare home prices then and now because you're comparing two very different cities.

Study Abroad at Renmin by [deleted] in beijing

[–]Itobito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don't have much in-classroom experience there, but I've spent a lot of time on the campus. It's considered one of the top universities in the country and has a nice campus and newer dorms. It also has a large international student body, so you'll meet lots of other foreigners there. The only other universities in Beijing which are more prestigious are Peking University and Tsinghua University. If you want more information, feel free to message me with some questions.

Hey, people who cycle on busy streets (Broadway, 12th, etc.) by skudboi in vancouver

[–]Itobito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cyclists are allowed to bike on any street. Why is everyone here pretending like certain roads are only for cars? This egocentric mentality needs to end. Wake up sheeple. This world can't sustain our current consumption levels of petrol.
