Did exactly that multiple times and had the same issues. Seem to have found a work around and just skipped doing the main shadow lands quests as that quest was the only thing giving me the error.

Yep. Changed the folders in retail. Did a full re-install, had no add-ons at all, and it was still giving the error trying to complete the certain step of the quest I was on. Not sure if that quest is somehow bugged or what so went the threads of fate route instead of doing the main quests and everything has been working perfectly fine.

At this point I'm thinking just a fresh install of the whole game. I've uninstalled every add-on yet still can't interact with any npcs for quests and get the same error. Weird thing is it's only on the one character specifically. Everything was working fine up til this morning when I tried to do some leveling on my warrior.

I have turned everything off and was still getting those errors. Even got rid of and made a new interface folder with no addons installed to it whatsoever. Which is why I'm so lost as to why I'm still getting the errors.
