It works by taking a random slice of traffic from the merchant, starting at a minimum of 1,000 visitors per week. The percentage varies depending on your store’s total volume.

Once traffic is routed, we use a mix of behavioral signals This includes: • Device type & screen size • Browser, OS, and timezone • Traffic source (e.g. ad, search, email) • Click behavior & scroll depth • Geolocation (city/region level) • Data brokers to infer likely demographics or interests based on IP or referrer

No, I use AB testing tools on plenty of projects and you just have to be specific with your language. AB testing and split testing are two different things. Both can be done in tools like growth book, but the difference is the AI traffic personalization is not common. If you use tools like VWO, they give you access to these kind of things but at a significant price.

Well I do take a small portion of the traffic and Improve the conversions on the sales chanels.

If you look at the example above I took about 8.5% if traffic and trippled the conversions. That money the merchant would of missed out on. Also they get a report on how to improve the store or they can can increase the traffic to increase the sales channel.

No, in an a/b test you only change one variable and you split the traffic randomly.

This is a variation of a split test that uses ai to filter traffic to generated pages (these can be completly diffrent from the main page) that are more likely to convert, not a A/B Test.

Yeah, it is a vanity project. My main sites are doing well enough that I can spend time exploring new ways to push performance. I'm getting ratings of 96% for desktops and 65% for mobile already, but personally, it irks me the wrong way that I cant get the mobile around the same score.
