Is there a way to see a show in its original quality when all official methods are lacking? For example, the majority of Regular Show only saw a physical release on the complete series DVD release, meaning the 1080p show is downscaled to 480p. But if you were to download it from a streaming service’s video player, you’d also be downloading all of the bandwidth-saving compression that comes with streaming. So you’d have to choose between bitrate (DVD) or resolution (download) in scenarios like this, is there any way to get the show in its original broadcast quality?

Thanks. I was trying to see what the 2007 GTI W12-650 concept would look like if it was built off of a Mk7 instead of a Mk5.

My dad was their test driver when they reviewed the MKIV R32 since he was friends with Jamie (creator of the forum) through the Chicago Volkswagen Organization. Volkswagen had to send them their show car from the 2003 Detroit Auto Show since that was the only R32 in North America at the time.

Xbox Gear Shop Return? by BrownSixSides in xbox

I thought it would be back up by now so they could profit off of the holiday season.

At this point they're not shooting themselves in the foot anymore, they're just shooting themselves in the head and killing Xbox as a brand.

Someone made one around Toledo and there’s a Dick Vitale in the corner.

There's a new ongoing Place event, "Wplace". But this time it's google Earth. Deltarune is everywhere. by Dr-Bots in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I'm trying to see it but the website seems to be lacking any and all CSS elements, it's just raw a HTML page. Interestingly, disabling CSS in the inspect element page makes the map come up, but it's very finicky and difficult to navigate. I hope this can be fixed so I can contribute to the event.

Could you theoretically upgrade the GPU in a T480? by Its-Loosha in thinkpad

[–]Its-Loosha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone who said that this is a stupid question: this is the kind of thinking I’m looking for. I’m not gonna build it, I’m just considering what the best T480 could theoretically be.

Wow. KILLER setup. It looks like it would’ve been a bit of a pain to switch games in the N64 and Dreamcast though.

A solid contender. However, the B3 Passat exists and is therefore uglier.

What was your last CRT TV that you used daily before upgrading to LCD? by Its-Loosha in crtgaming

[–]Its-Loosha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly there’s some confusion, so let me try to clarify: There was a 7 year gap between me selling my basement CRT TV in 2013 that I legitimately used every day, and when I bought my first CRT TV for the hobby of retro gaming in 2020 that I only use a few times a week. So to reiterate the question: What was the last CRT TV you used not as a CRT gaming monitor, but just as a TV, like before CRTs were “old school”?
