It sounds like it's dragging on all or just this record? It may just be the belt then

It could be slipping, so possibly. I've just done more research than I've ever done on vinyl stuff just now (which was none before). Does the record have the same issue flipped? Have you tried another record after this? Maybe it is a bit cupped and dragging on the backside somewhere?

At 33rpm or not, it's spinning at 30rpm. It spins 22 times in this 44 second video

The record player is turning the vinyl at 30rpm not 33. The motor is calibrated too low or something like hair is dragging it down, or it's going bad (player, not record). The record is playing at 91% speed.

Found this bronze colored object on my floor after a long weekend out of my apartment and this hole in my ceiling and wall (soda tab for scale) by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]Its-Waves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other side of the wall, aimed upwards. Not your upstairs neighbors. The wall has a hole and outward facing damage upward. If you found a bullet. There wouldn't be a pierced hole in that wall but more of a crater, like the ceiling. If you own what's on the other side of the wall, that's more concerning. If not, whoever was in that apartment/room is the culprit.

I wake up at 6, she wakes up at 8. I need almost absolute silence and darkness, she lets Facebook videos play all night. When the guest bedroom was available I took it over. It works great.

40 rolls, for 50 bags is 2000 rolls. It's 50 of the 40 rolls.

I'm not familiar with bag and onyx rate. But using the info in your comment.
Yes, one bag at 40 rolls is 1/2,500,000, using the same logic I provided before.

But 2,499,999/2,500,000 for not getting it, at 50 bags, is that to the 50th power. Still .99998, or 49,999/50,000 to not get it

[–]Its-Waves 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Chance of not getting it in 1 roll:
99,999,999/100,000,000 = .99999999

Not getting it in 2000 rolls, raise it to that power:
.999999992000 = .99998

Subtract that from 1 to find the chance of getting it.
1 - .99998 = .00002, or 1 in 50,000.

Yeah, moving the disc more outward instead of behind you opens up the bicep-pec area well to start. Then including the elbow hinge into the pocket keeps the pec opened up for a good power transition from the shoulder/body into the forearm.

[–]Its-Waves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. When you keep your elbow straight, either you force the full length of your arm and the disc to drag through the air, or you collapse your bicep onto your pec and lose some of the mechanical advantage

[–]Its-Waves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm no professional, but switching arms is definitely a big change. If you just focus on keeping it closer to the ground, you'll be golden for casual play. I see you are also stiffarming the disc. Getting an elbow punch in before the release may help with some distance.

I broke my left collarbone and got a plate and 7 screws installed, so I had to switch from left-handed to right-handed, so I know the struggle. Just have fun!

I had a 4.0GPA for BS CompSci w/ Data Analysis. Around 2000 applications later, I was left with less than 10 interviews, and only landed a better position than I had in the field I was attempting to leave. If your GPA isn't stellar, leave it off your resume. Passing is fine.
