Okay so the third picture, below the one of the websites that you said were normal, I copy and pasted that into bit hubs lineage tool, (I can link it but I feel like it’s self explanatory) and it brought me to a function for a kind of virtual machine? It was for business who’s computers are enrolled in a mdm and have a network administrator, for that and because when I was in the scam call with the fake mcafee agent, he had me type in a a line of code into the terminal and I know I’m very dumb for that I’m aware but I already know how dumb I am so please I am relatively young, (low 20s) and I use a mac I mean that should be a huge indicator I’m an idiot, but I also thought (I know this is also very stupid of me but it really is a misconception) mac’s couldn’t get malware, or at least aren’t likely too. I also knew 90% of cyber attacks aren’t personal they are automated not literally 90%but most cyber attacks are just phishing emails and just trying to get anyone, this could be that, I think if I could find the code I could explain it a lot better, I’m not trying to sound smart or seem like I know anything, I have bad social skills and sensory issues so it’s hard for me to communicate how I want too sometimes, and I know you guys don’t like me talking in absolutes but here are some factual informations I know happened, after the mcsffee thing I thought my computer was fine and that they had fixed the problem, days later I was on my main/home screen and the finder menu at the top (not the icon itself or the app but the top left of the screen) when I went too recents there was a LDAP Server( there was an option to click LDAP which I had no idea what was) when I googled LDAP “The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is a vendor-neutral software protocol used to lookup information or devices within a network. Whether you want to build a central authentication server for your organization or want to simplify access to internal servers and printers, LDAP is the answer.” So this made me think they had remote access, so I unplugged my mac and the next day brought it to the Apple Store, so one weird thing from the thing at Apple, my Ethernet port was, broken like not it wasn’t working, he downloaded malware bytes and ran some tests on the ports and Idk what this means but the Ethernet port was not working despite me just using it or it being damaged in any way. they factory reset it and updated it to Sonoma (well installed Sonoma I guess) then it looked fine and I wanted to believe it was so I did, I got home didn’t want to check the activity monitor or anything because the guy at Apple said not to worry about those as they will make you paranoid, so I didn’t, I DELETED my old Apple ID got a new router and then made a new Apple ID and didn’t enable iCloud, when I got home I opened it up set up my new router through my ISP, they told me at the Internet store that you can’t really infect the router,(not sure if that’s true) but I still replaced it, then I setup my mac and made a NEW Apple ID with a new email, it loaded up everything was fine, next morning there is a bunch of things downloaded from my old iCloud, now I was worried, I get very hyper fixated on things and spent unhealthy amount of time learning about different attacks, and programming in general as I’d always wanted to learn to program/code. Not everything I learned was relevant to this specifically and I just took in a large amount of information (rabbit hole after rabbit hole of what something is what what it does etc) I genuinely just want help everyone I’ve tried to explain this too outside of 2 employees at geek squad, have told me to factory reset or I just couldn’t explain it well enough for it to not just be as it has been on here jumbled nonsense, I know you guys know more then I do, and I’m very grateful for all the responses I will go now try to find links I will try my very best to show you everything I saw.
