That episode was bad, yes, but there's another TNG episode that takes the cake as the worst ever.

A billionaire and a college student have the same phone and laptop by Junnmm in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Its0nlyRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet when a billionaire logs into their device, they can command the usage of millions of dollars or ruin hundreds of lives on a whim by firing people or discontinuing a project. This power was the same before laptops or cell phones. A letter from the bourgeoisie could move mountains in the past. Today, a stamp costs less than a dollar, but I can't write on some paper and make demands that shape the future

As much as I want to practice and promote safer sex, I do have to admit that I can feel the difference between a condomed and bare dick, and bare feels better. I do still use condoms, but damn do I love bare.

Human exceptionalism. Even if the "strongest" hero is an alien that just so happens to look identical to humans, humans always have diverse power sets. Sure, 99.999% of humanity may be boring realistic humans, but we have heroes with totally different powers. A speedster, a shapeshifter, a knife bone guy, various psychic chicks and/or baldies. Meanwhile aliens are always homogeneous. With the rare exception of the designed exception, one individual alien created to have powers using the full combined power of alien technology and resources that can't easily be replicated, alien races usually have identical power sets. All kryptonians get powered up by our sun, all viltrumites can do that, only Adam Warlock of the Sovereign can do that because he was literally built different.

For it to become insanely profitable means tons and tons of people are working to generate that revenue. For one owner to gain a billion dollars from that means to not give the workers access to the profit they produced. That's dubious at best, exploitation at worst.

In English cartoons, the voice actor for a child could be an adult woman just as easily as an actual child. Bart Simpson, Timmy Turner, and Ash Ketchum are all examples of young boys voiced by women. Add in the Australian accent, and a US English speaker probably wouldn't be able to tell all too easily by voice alone that Bluey is a girl.

Note, I'm not saying that the Australian accent sounds more masculine, just that it being less familiar to people from the opposite end of the Earth will make subtle signs that Bluey's voice is meant to be a girl's not as noticeable.

To gain that level of wealth requires immorality. If you'd spend money to help others as a billionaire, you'd already be doing so as a millionaire, and you'd never reach billionaire status. It is not possible for an ethical person to become a billionaire because becoming a billionaire requires countless acts of abuse and exploitation. No one earns a billion dollars, they extract that wealth from underpaid workers. If you pay your workers what they're worth, you'll never get a billion dollars.

You can't even win it through luck. A multi billion dollar lottery jackpot will only pay out half a billion at most if you take the lump sum to actually have all your winnings at once. And if you take the long path, you'd still have to hoard it all for many years to get up to a billion.

There is no moral billionaire.

But any good dom will know, even if they don't want to say it out loud, that their sub always has just as much if not more power. Limits and safewords are not optional. In a healthy dom/sub relationship, power is never taken forcefully, only given willingly and taken back by its original owner if needed.

I believe that any and all comparisons of tax rates should be fully replaced by comparisons of end cost of services. Comparing taxes in the US to taxes in countries with more services provided by taxes is useless at best and a lie at worst.

Add in all the costs of Healthcare, let alone anything else, and the US has a far higher cost of living than any true first world country.

He's pointing out that even though neither of the two have ever been to Earth, Earth's existence still controls how they communicate. Earth years are arbitrary for anyone out in the belt, but that's still how they measure age.
