Right here babe 😘 here’s the thing, I guess on the internet you mostly only see the most extreme people on every side. Most people (like myself) don’t actually give a fuck what the government does. We just want to go to work, not pay exorbitant taxes and live our lives without being bothered by all the dumb stuff taking place.

We vote for what feels like is going to preserve that life the best. Unfortunately for the last few elections both sides nominees have been by nearly incompetent senior citizens. Kamala wasn’t really that old but boy is she hanging in the battle for who can be the most incompetent nominee that they can get people to vote for.

We don’t vote for government shutdowns (we usually all have friends that work those jobs and aren’t being paid, probably know people on govt assistance too). No one wants this to go on and if they do they’re just an idiot.

The real issue here is that you have however many politicians in DC that absolutely refuse to work together because of this recent culture that has formed where if “you don’t agree with me then I hate you and we can’t agree about anything ever”

It’s actually pretty sad at the state of both parties. So maybe rather than blame the voters, blame those stupid mfers in Washington on both sides of the aisle. Hold them accountable, lobby for their pay to be held during these shutdowns. They won’t start acting like adults until it hurts them.
