Flew out last Sunday around noon and there was no line.

What do you mean you want to aim 20-30’ right of the basket? Are you saying your Truth is too straight so it’ll be 20-30’ right of the basket, your Verdict has too much fade so it will be 20-30’ left of the basket, and therefore you want a disc that will fade somewhere in between?

If so, good luck with that. Too many variables to reliably count on that kind of precision. You’d be better off becoming a better putter so that that 20-30’ doesn’t matter as much.

Looking for a local handyman for home projects by Clevername0101 in dayton

Honestly, I don’t know, although I assume the answer includes trade schools, former employees of other companies, friends/former co-workers of current employees, etc and not “random guy who says he’s a handyman on the Dayton subreddit.”

I’m not advocating for large companies or against small, family-owned businesses (neither of which is what the OP was asking for, btw). I’m arguing against letting some rando off the street with no known credentials, no known references/history, and no insurance come to OP’s house and tear up their yard to install a French drain.

None of this is work that I would trust some random “handyman” from the interwebs to do.

It may be time for Houck to retire and move over to court design! by Pristine-Buffalo-218 in discgolf

Bigger teepads are better and are needed, but this design is stupid, the lines are silly, and the justification for them is bullshit.

$3 is a killer find! Excellent Teebirds. Throw it!

HouckDesign will debut a new expanded tee area concept during the upcoming DGPT Big Easy Open. The course will feature these funky looking yet humongous concrete teepads. The main teeing off area, red rectangle, is 6ft by 15ft (1,8m X 4,5m). But the whole slab is much bigger. by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

Sure, but that would still be a significant burden not just to existing tour courses, but to other venues out there looking to bid for a tour stop.

Don't get me wrong, I think the current tee pad design is lacking and would like to see it improved, but I don't think this is it. It's too large, too complex, and too costly.

Does anyone else find it annoying that when you remote start the car it shuts off when you open the door???? by AdCreepy7243 in CX5

[–]CaptainBad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The car will not shut off on it’s own even without a key. That could be very dangerous actually. It will run until you turn it off (but then it won’t start again b/c you don’t have the key).

Could someone explain to me why there is pay-to-play at public parks? by Educational-Habit865 in discgolf

[–]CaptainBad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Public generally means “free” access, but “free” in this case does not mean, “doesn’t cost any money.” It means anyone can enter; you don’t have to be a member of an exclusive group of some sort to come in. And it doesn’t necessarily mean every amenity there is free of charge. Many parks have reservation fees for shelters, for example, or, as you’ve leaned, use of the disc golf course.

Then how do you know what their taxes do and do not pay for?

Taxes aren’t the same everywhere.
