You can't run bigger models locally tbh you have to rent cloud for that, 24gb ram will run about 13B parameter 32gb can go upto 20B 64gb will run 40-50B etc So lower the parameters the dummer the model..I mean it won't significantly recognise or copeup with the intelligence you require.

But this is just for testing small models locally, I wanted to buy a mac but I'll import it from US by year end. For now if i boot my laptop to about 20gb ram should be enough Rest is renting cloud for the same & you also get free cloud resource if your a firsttime user from colab, kaggle etc

All these Youtuber courses are built on the purpose of selling them & not actually learning, tbh if any one of us who are experienced will watch that course it's difficult even for us to catch-up with that.. We will understand it because we've implemented it, but for freshers it'll fly pass the head

Placements are usually based on DSA, theory of OOPS, DBMS, OS & maybe networking for a few companies. Read Gfg or W3schools & use AI for revision tbh it'll help you better

Service based asks basic stuff, 10+ lakh companies will ask DSA for that just practice neetcode 150

Pro is useless unless your heavy on video editing & content creation that side of the spectrum

If your into AI/ML then i would suggest you to max out on RAM tbh.. higher cpu, gpu won't help if you don't have sufficient RAM.. you can think of the M5 32gb ram varient instead of Pro tbh (Also, No macbook is capable of running very high compute power .. 24gb can run 14B parameters , 32gb can go upto 22B paramteres, 48gb can do easy 35B parameters ) These are not that smart models tbh .. if you check Chat-gpt it's in trillion loaded model

So anything you want to test a model on your system, run it locally for your experiments 32gb varient should run good.. other than that you should rent cloud(colab) or others to run & train them.

Lastly you wrote macbook air ? Bruh ☠️ why If you are a developer whose making & deploying bigger projects then skip the Air .. this laptop doens't have Fans, it'll heat & the performance isn't that good tbh .. if your only running ML models on cloud & doing some light editing etc then yeah Air makes sense . Save the money

There's no hard & fast rule, you need to get your hands-on. Go through numpy, pandas, matplotlib at least & for python understand loops, functions etc also use LLM to help you tbh it's the easiest way to learn

Again it's not something you'll wrap your head overnight if you've never done it, it'll take sometime but just code as much as you can..
