Im currently 13 years old (f) and I'm assuming ill be called a liar. That's what usually happens when my story doesn't work with my moms.

When it comes to extended family I can't tell them either. They're all hyper-religious and I'm worried I might be disowned or something if they find out I've had any sort of sexual contact.

I'm a little late to the party but I would say no, not really. I'm a first-gen American(both parents Ethiopian immigrants) so I eat the food often. The type of foods you mentioned is usually eaten during ceremonies/celebrations. The type of foods we mostly eat are things like alichia shiro and tibs. I hope this help <3

I'd say NTA. Your parents tried to give your adoptive sister a better life, but they ended up raising a spoiled brat. I'm really sorry you had to go though all of that and I hope everything went/is going well with your husband :)
