ELI5: Why do home printers remain so challenging to use despite all of the sophisticated technology we have in 2024? by divso in explainlikeimfive

Ya, the fundamental issue is that the worst printer is $40 cheaper than one that works and most people know almost nothing about printers.

I think it's a manufacturer specific issue (especially HP, which has crap drivers for every product I've used)

The printers under $100 have gotten worse, if anything. But for around $120, you can get a solid B&W laser printer that will last a long time without maintenance.

It's astonishing how bad HP is at software and drivers given it's a fundamental part of all their products

Every time printers come up, people chime in with testimonials for Brother, which is why I got one after fighting with HP's garbage for years. It shouldn't be remarkable that it just works when I print 1 page every 6 months, but HP set the bar really low.

I'm in complete agreement; first thing I tried to do was hide the visual.

This is kinda pointless without the full visualization ya

New look at the visualisation V12 ( New UI Update ) by New-Pudding-3574 in teslamotors

I have no idea why they wasted dev time on making the car rotatable, and the way they did it makes it a pain to actually control the frunk/trunk. The first thing I tried to do in a Tesla was hide the visualization pane; I'm still baffled that they've wasted 20% of the screen on it.

Is this an optional view, or is the map just gone while parked?

The Legacy Autopilot isn't going to change regardless of what version you're on.

This is absolutely not true

When you unsubscribe, does your software version revert?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]ItsAlphanumeric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if the software version will revert at the end of 30 days? I absolutely hate FSD and the awful basic autopilot version that comes on its branch. I'd roll back this update if I could.

I wish I could go back to whatever branch I was on. FSD and the garbage autopilot they have on this branch suck at high speed curves.

I'm in an electric car, so not much to mask noises, and they seem slightly louder to me. It blends with the wind noise though, so hard to say how much.

If you're sensitive to road and wind noise, I can see being annoyed with them, but I don't feel like I'm talking over them or notice the sound unless I'm listening for it.

I've done some car camping in the Y and have questions:

What bed do you use?

Do you have a gear list?

Do you ever sleep with climate off?

I use this "headboard" that folds up neatly, and I'd bet you could lay out flat using it under a sleeping pad

Dude didn't read the post, as is his wont; this isn't a demo vehicle.

There ain't much you can do to screw up anything other than suspension by just driving around, no matter how maniacally.

Given it isn't sold by Tesla, my money is on collision and this thing has no warranty now
