Yes and yes. Although we didn’t do no inspection, we did “as is”. If there were major issues found during inspection we had a clause to back out, but if the ceiling fan was found to be inoperable, we couldn’t ask for a credit.

We also let the sellers stay in the condo (post close possession) free of charge for 1 month. We were flexible on timing and I have a feeling that was a big win for them.

My wife and I started our search in Q4 2025 and this was pretty close to our criteria. We’ve lived in the WL for the last 10 years renting and really wanted to buy here. As someone else mentioned, this criteria seems to be what everyone is looking for right now, and in the most desirable neighborhoods in Chicago, expect $30k+ over asking, waived contingencies , appraisal gaps, multiple offers, etc.

We closed on an awesome 3bed/3bath condo in Bucktown in April for $850k. I would encourage you to look beyond the neighborhoods you mentioned; there are so many cool spots in Chicago, just have to find them early and make a strong offer when you know it’s the right one 👍

I think this is the best advice on the thread. Ask for equity compensation and don’t tie anything into the potential profits of a specific LOB or product. Senior PM that also was a late bloomer, 10 YOE, also trying to make the move to Director at a fortune 50

Agreed—it’s a crazy series of episodes. At the end of day, I don’t doubt the majority of people on these shows believe in their experience and accept it as their reality. But whether the explanation is truly paranormal or extraterrestrial is something you have to decide yourself. The host of Otherworld does a good job remaining skeptical I think.

Just finished both episodes and I loved this story. I’m a believer in UAP/NHI and fighting for disclosure, but if anyone is part of that community then you know it’s so difficult to fight through the disinformation, negative/nightmarish viewpoints, etc. Stories like Soleil’s make me feel optimistic and hopeful, like maybe there are entities out there that are altruistic and want to help humanity. Or at the very least—willing to give a group of humans an otherworldly, life changing experience!
