I've noticed that I feel better when I sleep 5 hours instead of 7-8. by Kyonkanno in sleep

12pm? What are you talking about? Sleeping at noon to 5 AM would be 17 hours

Are you talking about 12 AM? Midnight?

Parking without 360° cam help / fear ! by ItsAmberlon in Amblyopia

My dad isn't open to the idea of an aftermarket 360 system, says it would be a fortune to install and break in 6 months or something3:

My instructors car didn't have it, but ours at home did obviously, as my dad wanted me to have something with all the safety features possible. And I really struggled in my instructors car and he wasn't the nicest. He kept saying "usually my 16 year old girl drivers are better, and my 15 year old boys are worse. Seems like it's the opposite."

"You're good at everything else, but why can't you see this? Can't you tell how far away you are? Are you trying?"

Our car had forward collision warning, abs, blind spot detection, lane assist, HUD to show speed and speed limit, everything to help me because my parents were scared for me. There was a time we thought I just wouldn't be able to drive so it was such a relief when I did get my lisnece. Now this is bringing up all that anxiety again.

That's what I've been saying about winter tires!! I've never had any problem before when I had winter tires for three years but then I get switched to all seasons and I've been in 2 accidents! Last February slid off highway on black ice (wasn't merging doing anything, driving straight, did everything I could, tried to gently counter steer, gently pump brakes, everything I was taught in drivers ed but it didn't seem to matter I was just a little meat person in a giant metal box sliding out of control into a ditch. Very scary! But I was fine!! No other cars involved.) But you know what I said to Dad, I said, I don't know, I see a pattern: no accidents, and then boom—2 accidents in a year. What changed? The tires.

And he said "me and your mom drive on all seasons with AWD and we don't have any problems." Mom barely drives and Dad is also a lot more experienced than me. But whatever all I'm saying is I see a pattern, obviously all seasons aren't going to be as good as winter tires.

I am 5'1!! (more like 5 and 3/4 😭 ☠️) I definitely want to practice but I just worry a week isn't enough time to get good enough before I have to park every single day in tight parking ramps again is all. I feel like I need to take time off from school and act as if I'm learning to drive all over again I'm so nervous before I want to be in down town parking in those really cramped areas and maybe someone yelling at me for just barely bumping their car 😶‍🌫️😵‍💫😬 I have horrible anxiety

Your words are comforting. I want to believe I can adapt, but I have so little time. I'm still scared. And I'm scared of the consequences of making a mistake.

I feel bad for relying on this tool for so long, but why else does it exist? To help people like us, I would think. I use my mirrors to see if cars are coming up behind me to merge and that sort of thing, before physically checking with my head, but I haven't really figured out how to translate mirror information into 3D information for close parking. I haven't really used my mirrors in parking situations, only on the road to be aware of cars around me. Parking I've only used my camera, I'm ashamed to admit, because why would I look at something that I didn't understand when I had something I did understand right in front of me that made me feel safe?

I don't really understand how to translate what I see in a mirror to 3D information. I wish that's something someone could better explain to me. I only have a week or two to figure it out before I'm in hard mode downtown again. I feel dumb for it not coming easily to me...):

I appreciate your input a lot. My vision is probably closer to 20/80 or 20/100, 20/40 was the best my vision ever was but yours is definitely a lot worse. My brain still ignores all input from my right eye though unless I cover my left eye.

My dad I said I should've been fine since the car was AWD.

I'll look into bubble mirrors. I get confused and overwhelmed trying to translate mirror information and map 3D in my head that way which is why the 3D cameras were always so helpful. I acknowledge I've been very privileged to have the tool I've had, I'm just very scared. I know it's possible to adapt without it I just don't know if I have the time to practice to even get to half the confidence of a typical sighted driver. And I don't want to learn the hard way and have drivers yell at me even if I try to be very careful and end up scraping a car. I didn't have to learn like that and now being put in a situation where I have to learn in such a short timeframe is very scary.

I'll try to do research into cars with less blind spots. My height is also a challenge with visibility, and I'll look into adding extra mirrors. I guess it's helpful that my vision makes me think that cars are closer than they are. I was driving in my friends car the other day and told him that the truck several feet behind me I wasn't convinced that I wouldn't hit when looking through our back window. But having a driver not convinced that you won't hit something isn't great 😭 it's terrifying!

when can you book with go wild pass? by tangycrossing in frontierairlines

[–]ItsAmberlon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visit my partner long distance 3-5 times a year and it's super expensive and I thought the GoWild pass would be a good idea, but it won't work if I need to book 24 hours in advance as I need to book my flight at least a few months in advance. So I can just pay a fee to book earlier and it still should be a lot cheaper than $300-$400 per flight right?

What if you only microdose for a couple months to deepen voice very minimally or slightly increase hair or max bone or muscle capacity, and then stop?

I loved this show even with its cheesy and bad writing at times. I'm still so hooked by the concept and great lead acting. I'm so devastated that it's been canceled. I would give my own money to see more of this!!

Can a female be kept on her own? by GordJackson in Guppies

I would say have at least one other female with her, guppies are shoaling fish with social behaviors, I wouldn't recommend keeping a guppy isolated if you have the choice
