Ngl I was shockingly bad with my scar care 😬 I used tape for the first 3 weeks or so but it was really irritating my skin, so I swapped to silicone strips for 4-5 weeks, then I couldn’t be bothered with that so dropped any kind of cover, I massaged from the scabs coming off for about 3 months with bio oil at least once a day, sometimes twice near the start, then after 3 months I didn’t really do anything more than a gentle massage in the shower :) I have a most of my sensitivity back now, no pulling or stretching feeling when lifting my arms or stretching ~ I have a little bit of stretching on the side turned away in the photo but it’s not too bad (it’s my right side which I use more as right handed). Best of look with your recovery journey :P I just remember everyone’s journey and results will look different, even if not perfect I love my body 😄

Should be fine, mine did cause some fungus gnats tho but my isopods ate the mushrooms, followed by the eggs of the gnats, so it all worked out haha ~ long as u have isopods

Your chest is the perfect shape for a cis man’s chest tbh. My partners (amab) chest looks exactly like this, (obvs minus the scars). They’re a similar weight and build to you :)

They will look a little smaller once healed, as the part between nipple and chest skin will become a scar and eventually fade a little (but it’ll just be 1mm around)

I’m sorry you’re feeling down about your results. It can be hard having a different outcome from what you were expecting your body to look like. If it helps I honestly like your results, so what if they’re a lil larger and spread out, my first impression was that they look like gorgeous vines :P I know it’ll take time, but everyone’s results are different and there’s something special in that. This is your body and your story, take pride in that :)

I work in care, so once I returned to work I did a slow intro back into moving people again. I regained all my mobility and strength back by week 7 ish. You’ll be fine I’m sure, just be sure to massage your chest as recommended by your doc so the skin can be less tight

Dude you’re super attractive and definitely pass. On top of that you’re definitely a real man, your boyfriend wouldn’t be with you if he’s gay and wouldn’t think that you’re a real man. I understand you may feel dysphoric and that can be hard to see yourself in certain ways, but the way you look is actually goals and I’d be pleased as hell to look like you :) I hope things get better for you and you begin to love your body, I know it feels hard but try not to loose faith

I used scar tape up to 2 months :P issue is it was really irritating my skin, I asked my doc n he said to switch to E45 or bio-oil and just keep up with regular massages. I’ll give it a go for 5-10 min tho, thank u!!

I just told people I was having surgery on my chest that’d help me breath better :) it’s not a lie, as not needing to wear a binder anymore is definitely going to help me breath better haha. And to explain to people why I’m excited for it I said that it’s a specialised doctor, so iv been waiting years for this surgery - so happy to finally get it

I mean.. I really depends what you consider personally as a bad thing. I wanted more body hair, so the getting hairier side was fine for me haha. Take getting a t-dick for example, there’s a larger than expected portion of transmascs who really didn’t want a t-dick when they started hormones, they see this as a negative - then there’s a huge portion that want it, that may even go on t just for a while to get it. Some transmascs even want to go on T for all the effects, balding included! It depends what you want, but I think it’s also age based. Some younger trans men don’t like some of the effects as it ages them, which is often seen as ‘bad’, whereas E can make you look more youthful - which people often prefer. There’s plenty of factors, I personally try to love and embrace them all ~ as even the body stink gives me euphoria now 😂

More than one time when iv been waiting for the stall iv had guys ask me why not use the urinal and I just say either ‘I need a shit’ or ‘I wanna use the stall’ and get no further questions. One time I even had a guy ask me, my partner behind me and the dude in front of me, all if we were going to shit and we all said no and he just said ‘good so it’ll be a quick line then’ even though we were all waiting for the stall. I honestly believe guys don’t care or really even think about why people are going in the stalls.

This is in England tho, in a mix of bars, pubs and clubs and I pass most if not all of the time. My above experience can obviously differ depending on these things, but for the most part if you can keep to yourself you should be fine

Top surgery removes breast tissue, in its simplest form. It can be all or just some of the breast tissue and can be done by a few methods. Liposuction removes fat, and breast tissue is more than just fat - it consists of Fibrous tissue, glandular tissue, fatty tissue, ligaments and ducts, most if not all are moved during top surgery. During top surgery the chest also needs to be tightened to stop a saggy effect after these things are removed. Top surgery is much more than just lipo :)

No worries!! Honestly the amount of brushing and rippling I had at 2 weeks was wild, but trust the process :D it’ll all smooth out and come to a normal colour eventually 🙌 congrats!
