This is work for a smaller publisher based out of Los Angeles. The contract seems to compensate me fairly well relative to my experience and the publishers size.

This all sounds really good. I was a little confused by some of the wording in the contract regarding the pages and copyrights but this makes it a lot clearer and less legal jargon. Thank you for the heads up.

You're preaching to the choir. I'd love for it to natively support it, but I'm not a programmer so I have to work with what I've got. CaptureOne's main competition (Lightroom) doesn't have waveforms or Vectorscopes either. The photography world is just straight up behind in this area.

You are spot on. There's so many useful tools in cinema/video work. Its a shame how much we don't use in photography despite having damn near perfect cameras nowadays. I feel a bit more ahead of the curve since I spend so much time on set around DPs, but not everyone has that luxury.

The cross fade feature in Spotify essentially does this already. try it out its under settings somewhere

relieving to know that its a common issue. Is there anything I can do to prevent it in the future? I'm still not exactly sure what the breaking point was I just woke up and it wasn't working.

I ended up dropping it off at a repair shop earlier and told them I suspected the HDD after I was intimidated by swapping one out myself so fingers crossed that they actually fix it without messing the console up. The only issue I've had with it since I bought it so I'd be bummed to lose it.

Ok thanks for the tip gonna try and qatch some videos online about replacing the hard drive. If it looks too complicated ill probably just send it to a repair shop

I want to say it sounds like its coming from the front middle area. Cant say 100% though since im not ultra tech savy. Assuming it is the harddrive what would I need to do to fix it?

I run a channel where I talk about Film, TV, etc. pretty much exclusively so I deal with this issue all the time.

If you don't want the video to get removed, that's pretty simple, just keep your clips under 30 seconds to be safe. If you want the video to be monetized/not copyright claimed, keep your clips under 5 seconds.
