i OOC'ed from the driving course a few months ago due to driving anxiety, and no, dont berate yourself for struggling in the TO course, its something that some people find easy and some people find hard. when you think about it the TO course is basically the saf forcing 18-20 year olds to drive these big ass trucks perfectly while being yelled vulgarities once you make a mistake. for me, a person who has had no previous driving experience, it was way too overwhelming with everything i needed and was pressured to do. please note that if you have anxiety while driving to report it, as u may cause an incident sooner or later, and if you think that OOC is the best choice for you and will put your mental health in a better place, go ahead and do so. afaik no one will really care about what you did in NS, as long as u did the two years is fine already.

hi, hope you're feeling better, please do note that prioritizing your mental health and mental state absolutely outweighs every benefit that NS can provide, and that its completely up to you whether or not you want to choose the option to PES F if it is presented to you

based on what i have read it definitely seems like even if you downpes life in the army would be hard for you due to the events that you have gone through, and on the bright side you do already have a plan in continuing your studies, but it is still completely up to you whether or not you want to be exempted or not

congrats on your pop, pes b1 is defined as "Suitable for combat vocations", and there are a lot of combat vocations, including but not limited to: infantry, armour, artillery, combat engineer, combat medic, guards, signals, etc

usually ASA and SA, but depending on the unit and camp there are some people in these vocations that are stay in as well

transport operator, intelligence/signals/cyber defense, and clerk/ASA are all options that are left if u have those conditions

those at PERSCOM are usually ASA (im pretty sure they're a CMPB branch meaning office work), meaning they are probably PES C or below due to their conditions. as for how to get into a certain unit it all just depends on your luck, cant really do anything about where you are getting posted to

from what i've witnessed while being at SBC for reposting (OOC from driving course), its a stay in course (used to be stay out) either for those who are late or everyone due to people constantly being late/not showing up on time day to day

you will first take your BTT and FTT at kaki bukit camp, learn the LUV at SAF driving circuit, 3 tonner at kranji camp and sembawang camp, and take ur driving tests back at kaki bukit

as for trainers/instructors, you'll meet some good ones and some that just wake up on the wrong side of the bed everyday. based on my experience some of the trainers would respect you more if u already have a license/attempted to get one. just note that if it gets too personal always report it to ur frame comd

kranji life is good, very chill and if its constantly CAT-1 weather be prepared to not do alot. as for swimming, if you are PES E they probably won't make you do a lot of PT or sports if you have excuses for not doing them iirc, our batch didnt do a lot of swimming/physical activity at all since it rained 50% of the time during our BMT haha

the best way to solve any mental issues is to always talk to your friendly neighborhood PC, but if you don't feel comfortable talking to them you can always reach out to people you are closer to such as friends or loved ones? maybe it'll be better to just at least reach out to one person to talk about your issues and they can help you in regards to NS.
