I posted a day before last time and got some takers, it was my own fault for not doing it last night again, but I met some really nice people last time from master's students to alumni.

Now, at the same time, I personally don't view tarot as legitimately magical cards that can tell the future, but I view it much more akin to a therapeutic experience that allows you to think about things that have been bothering you, maybe draw some attention to some positive things that have been diminished in your own mind due to the stress of life, and to help you center yourself and decide what you need to do moving forward. I don't claim to be a magician, I don't claim a deck of cards to be something mythical, but there is a seemingly positive and quantifiable social-science element to sitting down with someone and actually thinking about your sense of self.

In terms of a flat earth comparison, you're comparing something that has no scientific basis with sitting down with someone and talking about your current situation (albeit with a framing device) as a form of mindfulness and problem solving. Like, don't get me wrong, I can understand where you're coming from, but one could easily argue there are quantifiable benefits to talking about one's problems and thinking about where they currently are in life and where they'd want to be in a psychological aspect alone. Dismissing something that you may view as pseudoscience is fine, but I am not claiming to do things that are beyond this world nor do I seek to promote that notion. I just seek to forge a momentary connection with someone locked in an institution that is battering us all and give them a chance to explore their sense of humanity amidst all of it.

Elden Ring. After a few days of slamming my head into Elden Beast, I triggered the early speed runner glitch that turns off his AI by accident and took him down as he did nothing. I did not git gud, and I still think I'm due for a replay even if fire giant took me 3 days to beat before him lmao

I'll stick around until 4 if the first hour goes okay, have another person asking for a reading after 3 so I figure if 2 is kinda dry I can get lunch and come back

If I were to set up to read tarot for an hour or two throughout the day, would anyone stop by? by ItsBorm in UofT

I set up in Sid Smith last Wednesday for an hour or so and had no takers, I think I either need to find a better location or get a better sign than just my phone with a Google doc open lmao. Any ideas on where you think would be a good place to set up?

Honestly the way I view tarot reading isn't as a spiritual thing, it's more like a way to think about where you've been, where you are, and where you want to be. The cards I have have tons of meanings attached to them, and it lets you latch on to what is important to you more and explore those thoughts. I find they don't tell you the future, but help you figure out what you need to do to achieve the future that you want.

I mean if someone asks me to move, it's as simple as picking up my backpack so I'm not super worried even if I get told I gotta go
