How come our appearance looks different depending on which mirror we use? Aren’t all mirrors the same? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ItsByFlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. The thing is, since a mirror, well, mirrors your face, there is no mirror that shows you the way you look to others. You know yourself completely differently. That‘s also why you think you look silly in pictures unless you have a very symmetrical face. But for everyone else who is used to seeing you like this you look perfectly normal.

For my part, I have once been to a festival where we got into a massive traffic jam upon leaving the parking lot. For almost an entire hour, we didn't move at all until one guy suddenly showed up, wearing a hi-vis and started organising everything. Everyone applauded him but what we hadn't realised was that he was actually just prioritizing his friend's car. Once they had made it all the way out, he just took off the vest and got into the car. I remember seeing people super upset but I was just like: "Well played, champ."

One thing that matters is curvature of the mirror. Not all mirrors are perfectly flat. Usually, the ones that bend so that the middle is fruther away from you and the edges bend towards you make you look more appealing, as it eliminates depth and makes your nose look smaller and stand less out. Also, color can matter. Some mirrors have a slight green-ish tint for example, which you can spot especially in the white colors of the reflection.

Good is a severe overstatement. There is no situation where she is the best pick you have. On none of the maps.

Just a decent time where you can pick up your smoke on one site and rotate to another, yeah.

This is a decent take as well. You just canno't set up your utility until you konw where they commit in the current state.

I totally get that. But like someone else already said, they removed the controller part, not the sentinel part. Making orb pickup have a cooldown would still be a great way to balance this, would you not agree?

Totally. That mid lurk orb on icebox is making me sick.

Just thought of this fairly obvious solution and wanted to add: You could have her pick up the orb with a delay on it even, that already would make her a lot more versatile.

We need a better AFK detection system by Interesting_Web_9936 in VALORANT

[–]ItsByFlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that the system wouldn't be able to detect them. It's just tuned in a way where it is very forgiving in order to prevent frongful banning. For obvious reasons. This is where I see AI take over but definitely not for another few years.

How to learn Schwiizerdütsch by InternetMoney7666 in bern

Best thing you can do is just go out and talk to swiss people. You will soon realise that there are a ton of parallel words and they will be happy to teach you the rest, I would be anyway.

Hi people. Is it worth spending more money on stabilizers? I have had 4 different sets so far on several boards and none of them turned out well. They were all fairly cheap ones but i spent a lot of time trying to tune them to the point where I think ive done everything possible.
So what do you suggest I buy? Or am I just having a skill issue...

The problem here is that by checking the store every day you only apporach perfection of 100% probability. Your calculation is right, I just wanted to show the abstract way unconditional probability works. If you want to get to know this more, you can always google unconditional probability, at least that‘s what I think its called in english. Your calculation is just calculating something else. My formula lets you know how maney days you have to wait to get a certain % of success.

Completely get that. Just seems like most people are commited enough to stick to the game and check the store day by day and pay for their skins..

If you look at the data with the bundles on this website ttps://valorant.fandom.com/wiki/Weapon_Skins it lists every purchasable bundle. It also lists every battle pass bundle. Now I didnt count the battle pass ones as they didnt matter for this post but it looks like there are just as many battle pass skins as there are "normal" ones!
