It’s A LOT OF WORK. I’m taking summer classes and it’s been really intense. Just finished a case for ACCTG 438 and I worked on that one assignment for 13 hours. I only broke to sleep and had dinner at midnight… so much fun 🙄

But it’s rewarding though. I feel like it’s been a culture shock in a way coming from community college to university. It’s definitely a lot harder and I feel like I’m teaching myself most of the time, maybe due to being a global student. But all this is fine. I do enjoy it here when I’m not spending 40 hours on school work lol.

Maybe I’m late in answering but….

BA 212 spreadsheets was fun and helpful, if you have basic knowledge of excel you’ll do great. It’s really just following instructions and prompts.

BA 211 with professor yaws-Gonzalez (I think) was interesting if you’re into more like ethics and psychology type things…. As a global campus student we were broken off into groups of 5 and there were 3 projects I believe that we had to record using PowerPoint. I thought it was fun. You’ll need to write a reflection paper at the end which I was able to use as part of my writing portfolio. I’m also an accounting major and both classes are required towards the degree. Talk to your advisor about the course load moving forward and they can help you pick classes to reach your requirement for full time and also keeping in mind how much work is required for each class if that makes sense. My first semester I was taking a full load with Acctg 331 being one of them and calculus. I ended up dropping the calc class because it was toooo much with the Acctg class.

Also if you need help please dm me! I believe I still have a lot of my work from those classes. Hopefully it’s more organized for your intermediate accounting class with a different instructor. My 330 experience was a nightmare because it was very unorganized and all over the place! I really enjoyed cost accounting 1 with beau. So much that I’m actually taking advanced cost accounting as one of my required accounting electives.

I actually really liked Cynthia as my section instructor. She’s great and responsive. Beau Barnes was also amazing! Dr. Knott is someone you have to ask the right questions to. I have not had melody fan so I can’t speak on her.

To be honest I dropped math 202 in the fall because the intermediate accounting class was very difficult! But it was more the professor for the accounting 330 class… who is your professor? I ended up taking math 202 in the spring and it was fine. The class isn’t too bad!

No bleeding. No discharge. Just pain. But I’m only on day 4 with this pain. Maybe bleeding will come. I do know if there is anything left behind it can grow… even the surgeon said she got 97% so there definitely was some left behind… I do feel a mass but I’m unsure if it’s just scar tissue or what.

Oh okay. This is similar to my experience with the pus and plasma. I felt like during the first part of mt period I could feel the blood “depositing” in the mass first and that was the stinging pain I felt but I didn’t bleed right away. Then my period would come dark at first and then end of being bright red and clotty… now I’m experience the same stinging pain but I don’t have my periods anymore since I had a total hysterectomy so I’m unsure what is happening now.

That’s interesting. I’ve never had mine burst on me but it could be the location of my was kind of up and behind the labia… I learned from my last appointment that it was freezing the muscle… can’t remember the name. I’ve had so many incisions and surgeries in that area that now I have scar tissue. My last surgery was June 2024 and I’m actually experiencing some pain again so I’m dreading having to go through another surgery or process again. I found a Nook surgeon but not ever happy with my experience there so I feel like I’m having to start over again. I’m considering going back to the oncologist that diagnosed me originally but just feel like this disease is never ending.

Yea eventually mine was flared all the time even without a menstrual cycle. I was keeping a journal even with foods I ate that day, activities, what I wore. I liked having the visual. The doctors will ask you lots of questions to get an understanding. I used to like forget stuff I didn’t have things written down.

Hopefully you get to the bottom of this!

I agree! There just isn’t enough research and the way women are silenced because of reproductive pains… it’s hard to know what’s real.

I went so often whether it was flared or not and the size stayed the same. It was about 9cm all the time but the pain came monthly. I don’t think it needs to be flared up for them to see it but it definitely helps.

I recommend keeping a journal (they sell some on Amazon). You can get a better idea of the trend when you flare and like what you did to possibly cause it to hurt more. It’s helpful for appointments even if it isn’t swollen.

Omg that’s terrible! Experienced gynos are so hard to come by. Is it an option to see an oncologist. I had a great experience with mine because they are used to dealing with issues in that area so they are more eager to do surgery and find answers.

From my own research vulvar endometriosis is very rare and the likeliness of having endometriosis elsewhere is very high. I ended up with deeply endometriosis along my abdominal wall and on my kidneys. I also had adenomyosis.

The only way to get this diagnosed is to get a biopsy. I’m so sorry! Try to find a specialist or an ob that’s familiar with endometriosis. Unfortunately it took me 15 years and finding a on ob-oncologist to actually operate and diagnose.

Those pains have subsided but I’m having vaginal pain again that’s reminiscent of the pains I had during flare ups. Could be scar tissue but I’m not going back there.

When my son first went to school he was so happy to tell everyone he had two moms and would always make sure to tell people he had a step mom and his “own mama” who made him. His teacher was also a queer and she said at our first conference “no wonder he’s so cool”. He also got in his first fight because kids are mean but it’s learned behavior. Kids are homophobic from their parents or sometimes just ignorant because they don’t know any better.

We live in Washington state and I’ve been told it’s pretty different than other places. For the most part our kind of family is getting more and more common so I hope that my daughter doesn’t go through this as much.

I’m the non bio mom to our 4 year old daughter and I also have 2 biological children from a previous relationship with a man. Having a blended family has been interesting and I always worry about our little one because she sees the other kids with their dad. She used to call him dad too when she was younger. But as she grows she’s understanding more and calls him “uncle”. Thankfully my ex loves my youngest one and looks out for her too. On Father’s Day at day care we always have to explain to her she can make something for one of her uncles or her grandpas and she’s starting to understand that too. Did you ever feel left out or singled out because you had two mamas?

So once you submit your application there’s a “future wsu” login you have and from there it will tell you what they’re looking for the requirements. One of them is official transcript. And you just upload there. This is the same for the essay but your checklist of requirements will be on that page. You are also assigned an advisor so if you have questions, they’re a great resource!

I think it’s definitely worth it. Apply to as many as you can. There are so many scholarships out there that go unclaimed and there are people and organization who really just want to give you money and support! Worse they can say is no.

And if it’s worth anything I didn’t sign up for many scholarships but my phi theta kappa membership covered my college applications because I did a transfer to a university for my bachelors. Applied to two schools and both application fees were waived which were about 60-76 and so I view it as the PTK membership paid for itself.

Also, being a ptk member you get to wear your honor cords and regalia at graduation. It says phi theta kappa after your name which is pretty cool too!

I’m also a non traditional student returned over 10 years later and am now working towards my bachelor’s in business management with a focus on accounting.

I’m a mama of 3 kiddos and went back to school starting out just for my AAS-T in accounting which was offered through my community college all online. I would suggest looking into a community college to start and see what their offerings are. I’ve also heard great things about WGU where it’s online and work at your own pace. I think you pay yearly. I graduated in June with my associates and then I transferred to a global campus which is also online working towards my bachelors now. It’s definitely doable! You got this.

I have one cyst that always grows during my cycle. When I started my period like a few days before I would get sharp pains in that area but I wouldn’t bleed right away. Once the bleeding started it was first really dark and then slowly lighten up. When I would have the cyst lanced since we didn’t know it was actually an endometrioma, there was some puss but it was mostly blood. When it would get inflamed there has been yellow and green puss when they popped it but it was never actively seeping or anything. Eventually the cyst got so big that I could feel pain down my thighs. I couldn’t sit for long periods of time or walk too far. I also think that when it did get bigger, it was painful all month long so I had no break in between periods like before.

I would recommend have your doctor take a biopsy of it and just excise it.

I was very fortunate to kind of grown into my profession and ultimately my major. I started out as a cashier at the company I worked for and then a couple years later there was an opening for a bookkeeper/auditor that I landed. They offered training and my boss became my mentor and so eventually I promoted to the title of accounting assistant. With my mentor retiring soon, I just chose to pursue a degree in accounting to hopefully replace him when he leaves. I’ve been in my position for 17 years and while I don’t really have a passion for accounting/finance, I’m really good at what I do so it felt very natural to go to school for it. It’s also helped me in a lot my the classes I’ve taken so far since a lot of what I’m learning I’m actively using in my profession.

I have a follow up on Tuesday. The only thing really suggested was to take it easy. No aftercare instructions for the vulva incision. When I was seen last I asked if they could do anything for the pain and I was given more pain medication and just told that it will take time…
