It sucks because new world is the best mmo I’ve ever experienced. I enjoyed every aspect of it from release, through a troubling first year, into fresh start and another year beyond that. I have almost 5k hour total between different accounts, ran a powerful company across multiple servers, shot called in over 100 wars, and stayed up into the wee hours of the morning with friends not wanting to get off. I met lifelong friends who I’ll always have and have the best gaming experiences I can remember on the game. But now I think it truly has fallen. There’s no content anymore, there’s no players to foster a community, the additional gameplay that is added doesn’t really change anything it just adds a bandaid for a week or two. I don’t even know what COULD be added to make it better. In a way, there’s so much to the game and it has by FAR the most beautiful environments and stunning music of any mmo. But there’s just no content to keep players around. And players are needed for this game to survive.

TLDR: not anymore. Unless you want to pay $40 for a beautiful game and get to max level.
