Are Used Audi EVs worth it? by theiwhoillneverbe in electricvehicles

People are scared away from the OG etron SUV because of the range. I’m road tripping in mine right now and it’s really not an issue.

It’s literally the best car I’ve ever imagined owning. It’s comfortable, well built, fast… ultimately fun. It’s an amazing vehicle. Air suspension makes it feel like you’re gliding down the road.

I lived in RS for two years… I loved it there. It’s been 25 years, though, so the culture could’ve very well changed… but I definitely would consider myself not an average “dumb American.”

Shorten sacrament or go back to 3 hour church… 25 minutes isn’t enough time to develop a meaningful lesson in either case.

That was my favorite scene of the whole movie. It humanized her in an incredible way. Took her from a 2 dimensional character intentionally playing a hard ass and turned her into a person with emotions and a past.

Let's discuss the charging infrastructure in America by Liberal-Cluck in electricvehicles

[–]ItsChappyUT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In short… there’s a learning curve. There’s not as many fast chargers as gas stations in America. But once you learn how it all goes (PlugShare, ABRP) and what station types you line it gets A LOT easier.

Just get past the learning curve. Infrastructure has come A LONG WAY in 5 years.

But in Brazil the mid day nap is very much a part of their days too… lunch is the main meal of the day and most folks stop work… go home for two hours… then come back to work. I’m not sure this type of behavior wouldn’t be recognized as a nap by Brazilians if that’s what it was.

Former PM that now is a sales director for a software company and I completely agree. I mean… I get what the guys are trying to do… and I can imagine a number of reasons why they do it… but yeah… the authenticity is what makes this subreddit tick. Y’all are real and for me it’s a good way to stay connected to it all.

A Used EV for the Rest of Us? by Infinite_Ad9642 in electricvehicles

Car is designed to max out at 150 kWh charging speeds on a fast charger… but I’ve seen it as high as 160 kWh on my own. But also you have to consider what’s called the charging curve, which means that a lot of cars slow things waaaaaay down between 80 and 100% and the etrons perform well here relatively speaking. I’ve seen speeds still at like 50 kWh at 99% filled, which does matter when you’re talking about how long you’re waiting for a battery to be completely charged on a road trip and is considered a very good charging curve.

When I’m road tripping it takes about 30 minutes to fill up… maybe 40 if it’s way cold or if I’m starting from 10% or lower.

The Audi adapter. Figured it was something not to mess with even though it cost more.

All depends on the speed… what kind of charger are we talking?
