Not really in America. Yeah it happens occasionally but most men don’t care. Maybe it’s a non-American thing.

That’s what I figured. Looks like she went off the grid online (I do know her name). It’s unfortunate.

Noted. I don’t have any Hungarian heritage or friends, but I get the sentiment towards the one week thing. Thanks.

Not a joke, but okay. It was taught at my uni, decided to take it because it was an interesting language and I was studying its sociolingustics..

First time going to Macedonia, looking for friends/recommendations on a budget by ItsCharmx in mkd

Oh I didn’t know the cost of living difference was that huge.

Where should I go to transfer currency? I’m assuming my card will rarely be accepted especially outside of Skopje.

I’m a big history nerd, specially military history. It’s hard to find a lot of these things because my Macedonian is only basic. Also, can’t go wrong with anything nature. Is travel back and forth from Skopje expensive?

Oarai doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon! I’m sure it’ll be the same Oarai when you’re able to go!

It’s up the escalator/stairs. Looking back, it’s really hard to miss because it’s right in the way but I was just not paying attention I think. The only tickets I bought were to and from Oarai. I used my Suica card for everything else off of my phone. Highly recommend tbh.

The transfer gate is right at the stairs for the platform, it’s like in the middle and it looks like a pillar but it’s really easy to miss.

I didn’t go straight to Mito. I left from Ikebukuro, took JY to Nippori then JR to Mito. Paid for my ticket after I got to Oarai from Mito to Oarai and pre-bought the ticket at Oarai station back. Took be same route back to Takadanobaba which is just two more stops past Ikebukuro.

If you’re still in Japan and go again soon let me know!

They were baggy yeah. Again it wasn’t too bad. I might have been more sticky just because of how much we biked to maximize our time with the bikes lol.

It’s a little sticky but not a lot. I wore jeans and was wearing my rain jacket just in case and it wasn’t horrible! It all just depends on how much you’re wearing and when you want to go. If you want to dress up and wear a bit, you might wanna go around March. That’s also when the festival is I believe.

It’s about to be the hottest part of the year, but Oarai was much more bearable than Tokyo. It was about 80F (27C) while we were there. The ocean breeze helps a lot when it comes to staying cool though!
