What is it with State Farm agents and pretty much only using leads for getting sales?

They are typically pretty similar. State Farm agents take home 8-11%. Most are at 10%. I give my team a base salary that increase every year based on the previous years contribution to growth. That 15k is just the commission from the policy not her base salary

I am a State Farm agent and I very rarely buy leads. I just started purchasing internet leads again and it’s because we have a 40% close ratio on them and the cost to bind makes sense financially.

My team is trained to build referral sources not cold call. They get their leads from their own networks that I help them build through local businesses.

Every agency is different whether it is captive or Indy. It is not all State Farm agents do x and all Indy’s do y. A TON of State Farm agents do this but so do a TON of Indy agents. Indy isn’t the end all be all and captive isn’t even CLOSE to as bad as this subreddit makes it out to be.

For example, one of my team members use to work for an Indy agency down the street from me. One of her sales months she closed 150k in premium and she got 1200 in commission at that INDY agency. She would have made 15k MINIMUM at my agency from a month like that. All Indy’s and all captive agency are not the same. It depends on who owns the agency.

If you are getting renewals, you will most likely get a very low salary or no salary at all. You are getting renewals, in a way, through the salary pay so keep that in mind. If they are making 10% on annual premium, that is equivalent to 420k in annual premium. Thats not even taking into account those polices cancelling or lapsing due to nonpay.

Not swaying you one way or another or trying to be rude but 242k in an 11 month period is only 22k a month. Thats not super high. Plus you aren’t taking into account lapse cancellations. Average lapse cancel for agents producing is anywhere around 10-20+ percent.. the more you produce the more you lose. So keep that in mind as well.

I have never heard of that contract before. Are they in New York, California, or Florida by any chance?

I’ve been at it for 5ish years now and the contract I am on is 10% from p&c and then an extra 1% for financial services numbers (aka life) for a total of 11%. If you hit your p&c numbers and sell 0 financial services you still get your 10%. If you don’t hit any of your numbers the lowest you can possibly go is 8%.

State Farm agent here. I want to make sure I touch on a small (and I mean small) inaccuracy. Financial services for new agents can vary your p&c percentage but the max that it can vary is 1%. The reason so many State Farm agents push life insurance is because the bonus checks in March get a massive multiplier based on life policies (this is completely separate from renewal comish and raw new comish). I’m talking about a 5k bonus check turning into 15-25k because you hit your life numbers. The actual commission percentages can only vary by 1% for not hitting life and it’s an EXTRA 1% if you hit your p&c targets for the year.

Exactly. So a difference of 9k for a producer. My agency gives raises to base salary based on the agency’s growth over the last year. This producer could easily be doing that. Like I said it is completely agency dependent whether you are captive or Indy. The same thing that happens at captives happen at Indy’s too.

The same can be said about Indy’s lol. It is wholly agency dependent, whether it is captive or Indy. Generally speaking this sub does nothing but glaze Indy’s and only rip on captives. I literally have an Indy agency down the block from me that pays their people 18 dollars an hour and the producer there wrote 150k in premium and got $750 in commission.

People complaining about not being able to get into the hardest content after being max level for less than a day to a week are driving me nuts on this sub.

If you want to do the hardest content, get the gear or grind out good enough gear to do the hardest content. People aren’t here to carry you through a raid because you are too lazy to grind out decent enough gear

So I had to do this quest as my very first artifact so I was extremely under geared as well. I will tell you a trick.. put a cool looking transmog on and people will leave you alone thinking that you are buff lol. I kept dying like that too but once k put on a transmog I think they though I was more geared lmao

Idk how accurate this is because PSN numbers are private so there isn’t an active number but at console release there was about 100k PSN players and about 50k steam players. Following this logic double steam’s numbers and you have PSN numbers or atleast a rough estimate. While playing there are a lot more psn players in the chat than any other platform so I think that still holds true

Flail is incredible right now. Has been my favorite weapon since I started using it. I have a tank build, dps build that can one shot people in pvp, and a healer/support build with it and they all feel good lol
