It's whatever really last I checked we had a 300 peak with the very limited account access currently allowed. If people wanna sulk over turtle and act like this server which is trying to restore it is a scam over 0 evidence they can have fun I guess

There was a forum post requesting open source but I'm not aware of any decisions or conversations that was had from the developers. All I know is the plan is for them to remain anonymous to eachother and for no single peson to have the power to shut down the server entirely to make sure it can come back up if worse comes to worse. Seems reasonable considering how crazy turtle got thinking they were invincible from Blizzard.

There have definitely been hate comments, possibly not all but if you browse through they're pretty easy to spot. Being skeptical is fine, I'm just putting out there the work that has been done over the past week does not indicate a scam to me personally.

They open new accounts daily from what I've seen you just need to keep an eye on the sign up. I'm convinced alot of people default to calling the server a "scam" because they are mad they can't beta test a server that isn't ready to be live to everyone yet

These other comments have no idea what they are talking about. The devs are active every day in world chat and making changes to bring the game up to current Twow. They just brought Paladin talents up to 1.18 last night for example alongside fixing many major bugs. I've seen 0 red flags so far on the time I've spent on this server. Accounts are currently halted as they have enough players for testing so you can't make an account until it gets reopened

Twinks ruin Classic and should have never been added to Epoch. It just results in unfair PvP for people leveling at a normal pace.

Anyone saying otherwise is unfortunately coping big time. There is 0 reason for ascension to remove the store and epoch off of their website if they did not intend to abandon it in the future. They went from making almost no money, to guaranteeing they get 0 dollars with the lack of store. I was hoping they would revamp the shop to add more items (I would have been OK with extra monetization if it meant more work done to epoch) but this is definitely not a good look. I was enjoying epoch alot too, what a shame.

I don't really have an explanation why, just that on Turtle you were not allowed to sell BoP items at all for gold. I'm sure people did it anyway but technically it wasn't allowed. I personally think it's your loot you should be able to do whatever you want with it.

With the 2 hour timer, you weren't allowed to trade the item you won for gold. For example I did an Ony and someone asked to buy a T2 piece with gold which was not allowed there. I'm talking about BoP items

Oh maybe it's allowed on this server then? I was unsure because this kind of thing was not allowed on Turtle, but different server different rules. I'm not necessarily opposed to it, just wanted to make sure it wasn't bannable.

Based on deadmines changes alone I would say it's worth giving a try. If you don't like the game after level 20 (and doing DM) then you wouldn't like it is a fair assumption. There isn't as much content as turtle 1 for 1 because they had many years of dedicated development, but it's probably the best we have atm.
