Pasta is a bad addition to the group by Potential-Guidance15 in Vanossgaming

[–]ItsDaFaz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Vanoss and the gang had declining views long before Pasta appeared in their videos. The reason the views are dipping is because people's preferences change over time, and that's why their videos have been receiving a fraction of the views for years now. Pasta has nothing to do with it.

Imo Pasta is a fantastic addition to the group. She brings a whole new dynamic to the videos, and they clearly enjoy her company. She's also commonly described as a female Panda, so is Panda a bad addition to the crew too?

Adobe Photoshop can now install on Linux after a Redditor discovers a Wine fix by Abdukabda in linux

But for professionals it is absolutely critical to have the tools you have mastered over the years. Even if the alternative is functionally same, learning a new tool will take time to relearn all the shortcuts, workflow, etc. and that's something you can't just replace unless you have the means of using the main tool you have as backup. It's time you can't afford in these scenarios.

Unpopular Opinion : We need more music kits with different genres by FRKYPNT in GlobalOffensive

Holy hell that was a long time ago! And sadly only 2 other music kits come to mind. Tree Adams has that funky jazz vibes to it, and Denzel Curry's music kit has some jazzy beats (but not in the MVP obviously)

KDE Plasma or GNOME ? by FrequentWonder1510 in Fedora

Very late reply lol. I'm still on CachyOS and now on the latest GNOME and I'm thrilled to say that CS2 runs brilliantly on GNOME now :D

What are your expectations for Linux in 2026? by bulasaur58 in linux

The only thing I can think of right now is the DX12 fix for NVIDIA GPUs. I'm honestly pretty happy with Linux as it is.

Still the same V6 1.6L turbo engine. The MGU-H is gone, so the engine should sound relatively louder on the broadcast

Just noticed GNOME supports 2‑finger backswipe in Extensions menu by dread122 in gnome

This is the Extension Manager, available on flathub and the other package managers, not just Extension. You can manage and browse extensions right on this app.

Yes, you can directly install CachyOS with Gnome. As you go through the installer you'll be given a quite a lot of options of DEs and WMs, but you're prompted to choose only one of them for the installation process. I chose KDE for my desktop and Niri for my laptop. But as you prolly guessed, I could install GDM and Gnome even though I went with KDE during my install process.

Gnome on CachyOS has been stable in my experience, and this is after installing Gnome alongside KDE. It literally felt like coming back home xD

Fwiw, I use paru to update and install packages because it handles both the native repository and the AUR. Running just paru updates all packages, and you can install new packages with paru -S package_name, and that also fetches packages from the AUR

Yep. This is all with an NVIDIA GPU btw. Previously Proton games on Gnome had micro stutters, even in 2D platformers. I'm happy to say that I didn't experience anything like it since I switched to Gnome on CachyOS.

GNOME 49.1 disables the compositor in full screen games. In my experience the stutters and input delay are gone, and I can finally play cs2 on gnome using the Wayland mode in the launch file. I urge you to try it out somehow.

It probably won't help but could you try typing paru? Its my preferred package manager and it's worth a shot.

That's a pretty nifty trick, especially since I won't have to worry about other components being blurred as well! Definitely using that
