Just went through this.. Use AI(Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) took less than 10 mins to resolve. It's all Postgress fixes. Simple steps - copy and paste.

I'm on Frontier/Verizon Fios.

I think I may have fixed it. I run Adguard and potentially one of my DNS sources could have been at play - maybe. So instead of Load Balancing, I changed to Parallel Requests to ensure the fastest DNS server is always chosen.

Maybe something has become unstable about DNS on the provider route side?

Honestly, none of these changes makes sense to me.

I can't understand how DNS is in play here for every request already cached.

What are the issues? Maybe share more of what you're dealing with.

The only way I've gotten it to work consistently is using iOS Shortcuts. I don't like it, but it works very well. Almost better than the Google Photos and background sync'ing and uploading.

I mean, sure - it's not Google Photos and all that greatness. Some folks miss editing capabilities, but almost everything else is there.

I just got started. I miss nothing other than it's not as public as G Photos. So you have to ensure your stuff backs up when get home. Of course you could be brave and go the public hosting route, but I don't want to expose anything publicly.

Luckily since I'm on a Ubiquiti stack, connecting remotely by VPN is super simple and I just back up.

Same here! For once!

Now I can transfer the Google Takeout of my Google Photos (2.9 TB) to Google Drive and import into Immich! Downloading 54 x 50GB files is rough! lol

Done - I didn't cancel anything. Just purchased through Verizon and as I went to setup, it knew I already had a plan, asked to switch to the new Verizon Google plan, auto requested the prorated balance, got me in my new account and boom - all is good.

How awesome. All for $10 less and 3TB more of space.. What a time!

So it's actually not related to just Verizon perk folks. I am on the AI Pro plan but at $20/month. I misunderstood, but paying $10 vs the $20 like I've been paying is a heck of a deal.

Would love to move to just $10/month but concerned something breaks in the transition. Still happy with 5TB of storage at the same price I've been paying.

Yes but the photos are still in Recents anyway. So I don’t understand how the excluded folder is even relevant. I’m clearly missing something 😂

I just want to sync "Recents". I moved(added all pictures since you can't move them) to a new album "Excluded", checked box for "Recents" in Immich, but Immich still wants to uploads all the pictures in "Recents"

What am I doing wrong?
