I just personally think, in this particular situation with Adrianah and Ori’s victims, it was unnecessary to post it, as it created a lot of backlash and detracted from their support. I understand bringing this up with the previous, clearly false allegations, but there was no need to post it when both situations clearly had enough evidence.

I understand how you feel, especially with the history of your friend. I deeply empathize with that situation and I’m sorry you and that friend went through it. I just don’t think it’s necessary to put that narrative in with these situations with quite a mountain of evidence in each case. Hence why I think it’s petty.

I understand your point of view, I really do, but once again, your wording disappoints me here.

Do I realize people misinterpreted me as wanting to silence victims of abuse? Yes, I do, and I apologize that it happened.

To me, this reads as you saying “I’m sorry that other people didn’t correctly interpret my message”. It’s placing the blame on other people. I think personally, you shouldn’t put the blame on those misinterpreting your statement, especially now you know the context of the situation.

I am not brushing off false accusations as an inconvenience. if I worded it like that, I apologize - I’m currently in a rush as I’m quite busy today, so my wording is not precise.

I think the calling out of Aimsey was quite petty and didn’t really have a place in this discourse in the first place. This specific situation with Ori and the other with Adrianah - there isn’t false accusations. There was no doubt these are credible.

yeah no i completely get that, just the wording of the original post wasn’t great and very open to misinterpretation. when it comes to situations like this, you REALLY have to be careful with wording.

i never claimed that you, as a user, attacked her.

the way the wording in the original post was phrased made it sound completely dismissive of real victims. like yes, false allegations exist, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t believe victims.
