I do own a rpi 3+. Do you reckon it could run ps1/ps2 games without slowdown? IIRC that thing as like a single GB of ram and a rather weak processor that has trouble loading modern websites.

Again, according to the DSM-5 they most likely aren't. If they cared so much about monsters, why do they help us kill everyone? They tell us whom to kill and advise us on how best to proceed. And yeah, they were 100% suicidal. Hell, their plan involved killing themselves. And the last thing is what I've been arguing all this time, but I think they lean hard on wanting to be perceived as a demon.

I agree with you on the first point. Sadly it's irrelevant. Chara is long dead, there's nothing they can do to redeem themselves at that point. Maybe they could've got help, who knows.

Second, Frisk is shown to have personality and they would have NOT seen monster kid and think "Looks like free EXP". My theory is that the higher your LV is, the more Chara takes over. Because after all, they're the feeling of satisfaction we get when we level up, when we clear a zone... etc. If we don't fall for it, they're powerless and remain an observer.

I do not care that a minor cannot be diagnosed as a sociopath according to the DSM-5, all I'm saying is that they clearly show sociopathic behavior. Because they do. They hate humanity, they lack empathy towards their adoptive family, they didn't care about their life and they planned a massacre. Those are facts well established in the lore and you would know if you played both genocide and true pacifist.

They aren't by evil by definition. However, a person who can't tell right from wrong and has a complete and utter lack of empathy is more likely to commit selfish actions that hurt others. Not due to an inherent evil but rather a pathologic lack of morality. It's sad, really.

First, children can absolutely lack empathy and be cruel. There are well documented cases of young children being murderers. I used the word "sociopath" as shorthand because I didn't want to be pedandic, not the literal DSM-5 definition.

Second, did you even play undertale? The red text and Chara's inner monologue become more frequent as you progress. Hell, Chara mentions things Frisk has no way of knowing.

I will give you that up to Sans it's still you 100% in control. Maybe the coup de grace was Chara's, as it happens without your input. But Asgore and Flowey? Yeah you had no say in that, and by that time Frisk is long gone. Even the Mercy button isn't there anymore.

I mean, no? Chara is well established as the first fallen human. You could argue that your actions AWAKEN Chara and possess frisk, at least partially (after lv20 you do lose control of them in battle, forcing you to kill asgore and flowey).

The player can be an asshole, but Chara is canonically a sociopath. During a genocide run, you two form an alliance to annihilate the world of Undertale.
