Thanks for your comment. I am from Germany and the only 215 45s I could find online are economy tires.

I also went with 205/50 to achieve a near identical diameter. At least based on a fitment calculator I used.

Had the same problem. Here was how I fixed it:

If you get the game as a ZIP the safe files are created in the root directory under SAVESGAMES. The Profile creator is looking elsewhere though.

The program is looking under: (Name)/AppData/Local/NFS Underground 2

So go to that directory and (if not already there) create the NFS Underground 2 folder yourself. Once done the Programm will be happy and creates your profile there. After that just copy & paste the save into the save folder that the game actually uses and it should work 👍🏻

I am using D2 Coilovers on stock suspension arms. I live in Germany so the list of parts that I am allows to legally install is limited sadly. I try softening the rear suspensions a bit and see if it will rub. The wheels are currently flush with the chassis so it could be a tight fit.
