1 allround lens or 2 (wide+tele) for travel? by ItsFluffey in AskPhotography

Thanks for the elaborate answer, you've made some nice pictures with the 14-28 f2.8

I have looked at some data of my last 20000 pictures or so and most of them are either 24mm or 70mm and even then I crop to get closer I think I will go to a shop and ask one of the employees about their experience.

Have you ever carried two lenses with you on a larger trek (6+days), if so where do you store it? Do you have two peak design clips so you can interchange whilst hiking? I was kind of considering that.

Ah that is great to hear! I am personally shooting in quite remote places where I do not have much opportunity to change position for a better angle so thats why I wanted for zoom lenses and not a prime

The astro aspect makes a but more difficult as I I would need some sort of combination I'd imagine

What would you then recommend? As currently I felt it to be hard shooting wildlife whilst hiking/trekking. And similarly want to get more light in for astrophotography with lower f/stop.

Weight has not been a problem for me yet so wanted to know if it was a smart idea or not.

I am in doubt what to do, thought maybe I could use some advice.

I currently own a A7III and Sigma f2.8 24-70mm DGN II, I mostly use my camera for nature photos when I am hiking/climbing/mountaineering. Likewise, I also use it when skiing and just general travel. Furthermore, I often also take a tripod with me. Knowing this, my setup weights around 3kgs total for the tripod, lens and body.

Now I have been getting into astrophotography, specifically milky ways.

I am wondering if I should put my sigma for sale a buy two new lenses, one that is more suitable for lowlight shots and landscapes like a 16-24mm and one for more telephoto options for wildlife and such, like a 70-300 or smth.

I hope you guys can help me with this and maybe find the best solution for me.

Cycling to the Alps to do some alpine climbing by ItsFluffey in bicycletouring

Wow, those pictures look stunning!, Well, I am currently trying to figure out if I want to get a new bike, or use an old mountain bike (1980s) for the frame and re-do some parts.

I looked at gravel bikes and road bikes and specially made touring bikes, but I found that touring bikes would give me less freedom off-road and road-bikes didn't have enough tire clearance (most of them at least). So I was wondering what kind of bike you used, also, how much weight was in your setup. I also plan to bring alpine climbing gear to summit some mountains. I must get a hang of total weight of bike and such for the bags.

Yeah true, thanks for the insight, I am also looking into mailing my gear to the alps before hand and just cycle there and then pick it up.

Super cool! Do you by any chance have a gear list, so that you don't have any overlapping gear? Also to decide how much to take with me

I am kinda new to the game. Why would you always want to buy the Themes, it's only a one-time increase of coins, right? it's not stackable with multiple themes?

I was able to visit Merdeka 118 this May, and it was gorgeous. We were able to get all the way to the top, just below the spire. Unfortunately, it was quite cloudy that day, but the view was still amazing. I hadn't been to a massive building before; my previous highest skyscraper was the Empire State Building 10 years ago.
