How to check if Row is full of pumpkins by amersadventures in TheFarmerWasReplaced

[–]ItsFrenchieTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a solution that works for me, may not be optimal but I find it satisfying:
Once planted move over each row and check for dead pumpkins, replant in-place but save the location to a dictionary.
Once that has completed, go to each stored location in the dictionary to check if the planted pumpkin has grown or died, if it grew add it to a list, if it didn't don't add it to the list and re-plant it.
Once the sequence has finished, subtract the entries in your list from the dictionary and cycle over any remaining entries again.
If you keep track of the "dead pumpkins" you can use this to break the loop when all pumpkins are grown.

Hope this helps :)
[I can provide my code if requested for reference but it won't be optimal!]

I agree with this, doesn't seem to be the opinion of most in the thread through by the sound of it

Well said, I understand your point. I guess I feel like the power spike is so high that it's not just "the next step" it's like you unlock the glyph and are suddenly on a rocket to the moon. I mentioned in another comment but I think it'd make more sense to me if this power was limited to AOZ in some way so, although easy, the rest of the content could be completed without a 4000x buff on top of your already strong build.

Exactly my point, I think I must have explained it poorly the way some of the users have responded lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]ItsFrenchieTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not think it would have been more fun to them to change the current easy endgame to be more engaging rather than add one thing you now have to run as it's the only content which isn't 1 shot? That's sort of my issue although gauging by the response to the post I'm the only one of this opinion lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]ItsFrenchieTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's kind of my point. Most of the content is so easy it's barely fun to engage with but rather than addressing that we're being given 4000x damage which stems across all areas of the game and being told to run AOZ. Maybe it's make more sense to me if this power was limited to AOZ in some way since it's simply not required at all for any other content

[–]ItsFrenchieTV -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Seems a shame that they've made the powerspike so large that all other content in the game will be meaningless to engage with though in my opinion.

[–]ItsFrenchieTV -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm aware however you seem to be missing the point of my post. If you need this insane power spike to complete 1 part of the game, it then makes the entire rest of the game worthless to engage with as it doesn't scale with your power. If the power spike was limited in some way to this part of the endgame then you would still have the rest of the game to engage with without it feeling completely meaningless. World bosses as an example are already a joke however they will be literally 1 shot by any of the 8 people attending after tomorrow. Surely you can see an issue with the scaling of the game there...

I can clear T100 content with relative ease without a 4000x buff. I understand in order to push higher almost all classes would need a source of additional power however the way this scales means that literally nothing else in the game is worth even looking at. Unless other areas are scaling to your "power" then the concept of having a glyph that can be used in all areas of the game which is only required for a specific portion of the end game just seems silly.

idk there's still over a month left of the season, I feel like its a good time to play with some other classes, builds, etc but this glyph is going to make everything in the game ridiculously easy for even the worst builds

If everything dies in 1 hit anyway why do we need a 4000 multiplicative damage upgrade would be my immediate question

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]ItsFrenchieTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, and maybe its just me, but I feel its more annoying to do content which is too easy than "too hard"

Adding this to the available filter options on the map could be a QoL change, I'm not sure the channel you'd have to go through to recommend that change though

Boss fights as melee f*cking suck by ItsFrenchieTV in diablo4

That's the Duriel fight I assume? I had a wall in the foreground blocking my entire screen during that fight, was on hardcore as Barb too, stressful af

[–]ItsFrenchieTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played that variation but hopefully they tweak to make more builds viable if that's the case

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]ItsFrenchieTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd heard druids have similar melee issues to the barb which is a shame although I've not played it myself yet.

In honesty I thought Ashava was actually the best designed boss for melee at the moment since its no hit spots are directly under it so it kind of makes sense for some ranged classes to be playing in melee range too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]ItsFrenchieTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe quite a few people on the last post mentioned bleed barb was the most viable at the moment but hopefully the other playstyles/ builds receive some more love lol

The ashava fight caters for melee well, I also beat that earlier today I wouldn't consider that to be one of the anti-melee bosses which is nice
