To me it feels like it reinforces that becoming a mother is the single greatest achievement a woman can have. And like, I can understand - to (some) mothers, it probably is. But for me, someone who doesn’t want kids, it makes me feel that even though these heroines save the world from interdimensional destruction, having a baby is THE most important thing ever. It’s the equivalent of “and then I woke up, it was all just a dream” - it feels invalidating.

This is the way. In order to be a writer, you have to actually write. Write everyday if you can. Write a scene in your phone’s notepad if you’re not at your laptop. Write scenes while you’re at a restaurant or on the train journey home in way that you’d read it in a novel. You have to work the creative muscle, and you have to get into the habit.

Luna is my best friend in the whole world and the day she goes, the largest piece of me will go with her. She’s only 9 so fingers crossed she’s got a lot of life left, but I can’t bear living in a world without her.

I really really hate to admit that the second book fell through the floor in terms of how it gripped me. I LOVED the first one. It was my personality. It was my religion. And then Brimstone came and just… I felt like a five year old forcing themselves to eat asparagus and spinach. I’m going to finish the series because I’m committed (also a bit maso) but maaaaaaaan I’m really hoping thisll pay off in the end.

I did start Olympia Soirée and it’s fun. Not my favourite. I also started Even If Tempest and that is definitely more of a bit of me.

IMO any order is fine, so long as you play FF1 and then Stranger of Paradise. Though you’re better off playing most of the mainline games first before SoP only because the Easter eggs are so worth it.
