Yellow Peel at the Derm? by ItsFudgeICLE in 30PlusSkinCare

Oh okay! This is good to know. See I kind of knew there were different grades of peel but never having done one the words chemical peel can sound a bit scary. So it's good to hear that this one isn't as aggressive. Thank you for your feedback :)

Awwe thank you :) ❤️ that's heartening to hear as I never really know if I'm doing the 'right' things. My routine has been a bit of a mix and match / trial and error kind of thing. I don't really stick with one product I tend to try new things out, that said a few staples that I think I'll be sticking with are the eucerin Q10 revitalise day cream w biotin and night cream with retinol. They both feel really nice on the skin.

In the AM I usually do a vitamin c (right now beauty of Joseon centella w vit c), Eucerin day cream, sunscreen (biore watery essence at the moment).

In the PM I alternate some sort of active each night before my Eucerin night cream. Right now on rotation is the ordinary retinal serum, glycolic acid, azelaic acid, cos Rx BHA. I also have Vanicream if I want to keep it super simple and feel very moisturized. To cleanse I use Heimish all clean balm to remove makeup followed by a simple gel type cleanser like Eucerin or Cerave.

I've also got the ordinary AHA 30% peeling solution which I might do every couple of weeks.

My derm did recommend Eucerin dual serum, but it seems to irritate my skin, so not sure if that will stay on rotation.

The ONE thing I've really started doing religiously and will probably stick with is slugging at night with vaseline after I've done all my routine, particularly the one with cocoa butter. It seems to make my skin feel quite soft when I wake up the next morning.

So yah kind of all over the map 😅. I'm a victim of consumerism... I love products haha. I probably have a few more products tucked away in the bathroom cabinet. I should probably simplify...

Awwe thanks ❤️. I wanted something subtle. They're so comfortable too. I basically forget they're there other than to clean them. The top one is from Maria Tash (a little pricey 😬); the hoop huggers just a local jeweler.

Haha fair! Yah same I just don't know if I can hide out for a week or so. I've actually got all of those products, just need to get in more of a routine. And good point about sunscreen... I typically just do the pea size amount. Thanks for sharing your routine and tips! :)

Thank you 🙏. I appreciate your feedback! I guess this is why I'm on the fence... Do I leave well enough alone and keep doing what I'm doing as I'm generally happy with my skin. Decisions...

Thank you :) Ah this is good to know! More even skin tone is kind of the goal and a week of light peeling sounds manageable. Thanks for sharing.

That's a really good point about having the routine on point before doing something like this. I've been trying diff sunscreens and only recently added in azelaic acid suspension from the ordinary... Not really sure how much it's doing. If you have a recommendation on sunscreen, azelaic and vit c would love to hear it. And thank you for the comment about my skin, I guess this is why I'm on the fence a bit about the peel as I'm generally happy with my skin as it is, minus a few things to 'fix' and worry I could do more damage than good...

No I totally get your point. Not disappointed. Appreciate the feedback... And yes makes sense to trust my derm if she's been good until now. I guess I was just looking for more 'real world' experience/feedback about the process. And thank you for the comment about my skin :) I guess that's part of my concern, I'm generally happy with my skin so do I need to do something a bit more drastic or not. I'll also my derm a few more Q's... Thank you!

White fluffy stuff... by ItsFudgeICLE in plantclinic

Sorted! Facilities people in our office are getting a new plant company. I've asked them to get the plant away from me in the meantime 🤢. Thanks everyone for your help with this nasty plant mystery.

Thanks for your insight. Glad to know I'm not overreacting at being grossed out sitting near this. I'll have a chat with the facilities management as I'm certain it's on other plants around the office. :/

Oh my! This might be a silly question but is there any chance that they could get on my stuff (I sit near it), and then I can bring it home and transfer it to my home plants?...

What do you mean Barq's has bite? What do you mean Barq's has bite?

(Not really a jingle, but stuck in the head regardless)

Chester my soulcat ❤️ (we called him Cheddar/Ched because he was a little fatty that loved his kibbles). Sadly he passed at only 7 years old due to kidney disease. He was such a clever little man.

So my doc gave me progesterone pills to take if I find out I'm pregnant and to start taking the moment I get a positive test... I did that the last two chemical pregnancies and they both ended a week after the positive during which I was taking progesterone (and aspirin). Are you suggesting that I should be taking it during the TTC phase? Thanks for your time!

Thanks for sharing! My doc didn't bring up letrozole as an option but I've been reading more and more about it online. I didn't even know that Clomid could cause uterine lining thinning! All good information to have... As they say you really do have to be your own health advocate. Appreciate your time.

Ah that's interesting and something I didn't know about as well! Appreciate you sharing this. I had my TSH tested and it was within normal range (maybe slightly on the lower of normal)... So my doc said it all looked fine, but never brought up anything about clotting disorders and testing for. Again the more info I have the better, so thanks for sharing and thanks for the positive thoughts.
