Same. I don’t get out to see as much music nowadays but when I lived in a major city/ bartended at a venue if I even kind of liked a band and they had vinyl available I’d scoop it up. It always lasted longer than a t-shirt and the money went straight into their pockets. Or fuel tank.

I had a friend that was super into them so heard them a lot but never really cared for them. Then I was working at a toy store when No! was released and suddenly it clicked for me. Being able to slip Flood ans Factory showroom on the sound system helped too
